The saloon (seb💔)

I finished all my stuff today, i wanted to make a nice dinner and get drunk watching old anime's but i sold all my produce already. The saloon usually has something good, and if the daily item doesn't sound good I'm sure gus will give me something different. As i walk into town i pass Pam getting off work.

Pam:hey kiddo! Headed to the salon?
Y/n:haha yeah, I forgot to save some produce for myself so it looks like its saloon meals for a few weeks.
Pam:well it's Friday so at least everyone in town will be happy to see ya!

I forgot, I haven't really been in town for a few weeks now. i even missed the flower dance this year. I never really dance with anyone, plus i never got the outfit so if i did dance I'd stand out like a sore thumb. Pam kept talking about how happy she was penny and sam were getting more serious but honestly i was ignoring her, not completely on purpose but mainly because i still haven't told seb how i feel about him and thinking about one of his best friends wanting to get married made me nervous for some reason. Shane was almost at the bar when Pam and i caught up to him.

Shane:hey chicken
Y/n:hey chicken man!

Pam smiled and nudged at him, he rolled his eyes in annoyance. Shane and i dated secretly a long time ago but we ended up not wanting to stay together. It was nothing against either of us but i wanted him to focus on himself and i also wanted all his attention, it wasn't really the best for either of us. We are still great friends and we talk all the time, i told him how i feel about seb and he's been trying to get me to spend more time with him.

Shane:come on, he's inside you know
Y/N:shane please i just wanna eat
Shane:fine, ill buy you dinner IF you talk to him after.
Y/n:...deal

I knew if i ate slow enough seb would leave before, and shane didn't realize his mistake by saying after. We got inside and it was busier than a normal Friday night, but it was nice. Shane went to get food knowing what i want and i sat in a booth near the pool table area. Next thing i know shane is dragging seb to my booth and sitting him down.

Shane:you better treat my chicken right.
Seb:your...what? What is happening?!
Emily:alrighty i got your dinner for two
Y/N:chicken man i will murder you and your precious blue chickens
Shane:you cant, you'll cry.
Seb:wait what
Y/N:wanna have dinner with me seb? It's on shane

Shane left and seb smiled yes. I could see shane from the corner of my eye next to Pam watching us eat.

Seb:so...why is he doing this?
Y/N:cause he's trying to get me to date someone
Seb:oh

His face went red and as did mine. I felt stupid as the words came out of his mouth. "Oh" he sounded so...uninterested in the thought of being with me. We ate our food and i had a beer, he watched me curiously as I chugged the whole thing in one gulp.

Seb:i dont get it why dont you date shane?

I looked at him confused, i know no one in town except marnie and jas knew we dated but it just always caught me off guard that no one really knew. I mean the whole town knew about penny and sam before they even admitted they were dating, and dont get me started on marnie and lewis. Plus there are rumors going around about Pam and gus. I looked over at shane who immediately looked away.

Y/N:we did once but it didn't work out, we care for each other still but never in that way. We made sure of each others feeling before becoming friends again.
Seb:oh...wait how long ago?
Y/N:uhh I think its almost 3 years now?
Seb:how long...were you together?
Y/n:maybe a year not even, we broke it off before winter

Talking about it didn't upset me, it was more of the faces he was making that made me sad. He looked like he didn't want to hear any of it but still kept asking me questions. Soon Emily came by with 2 slices of chocolate cake.
