It's 5am and i hear my phone going off. Abby and i have become really good friends and she found out i have a galaxy sword last month, every since then shes been trying to kill enough slimes to get into the adventures guild. She's killed 1....technically. She stabbed it then when it hit her she accidentally dropped her sword on it and it died. It was actually really funny. Anyway shes been wanting for winter so we can train in the mines. I'm just around to kill anything she cant yet, she still has only a rusty sword.

I walked over to the mines where Sebastian was smoking a cigarette. I waved at him and he waved back, as i entered the mines i was attacked by a feral abby. I already want to go back to bed. She smiled and goes to the elevator. I shook my head and pointed to the ladder. She whines as we start from floor one. I'm making her work if she really wants to earn her spot in the guild.
*2 hours in the mines on floor 20*
Abby:can we eat or something!?
Y/n:here.
Abby:what's..this?
Y/n:bug steak. Unless you want a rock again?
Abby:....i think ill take the rock.
She's such a baby. It's adorable. I handed her a survival burger i was saving for today. She smiled so big and sat on a boulder as she ate it. He face was covered in sauce...she looked so cute. I went over and handed her a napkin, she lifted her face for me to wipe it for her and i did so with an exasperated sigh. After i throw the napkin at her face i see a rock crab inching toward us.
Y/N:abby, rock crab 6 o clock.
Abby:i got it!
She jumped off and hit the rock...it obviously did nothing but i giver her points for trying. I get my pick axe and hit the rock so she can swing at the creature. When it died she cheered at the loot. We went lower and suddenly we were on an infested floor. Slime were everywhere along with doggies.
Y/N:abby, we need to go.
Abby:no! I can do this!
Y/n:you have a shit weapon. I dont want you to get hurt.
Abby: ALLONSY!
Y/N:you said that in the whitest accent ever!
We killed all the slime, i could see a cut on her face and got w little scared. I didn't like seeing her hurt....but i knew she was happy she got a scratch. Suddenly a bug came from nowhere and as i yelled her name she got hit. I killed it as i got closer to her. Abby was passed out and bleeding. I had to hurry.
Y/N:SEB! SEB HELP ME!
I was so lucky Sebastian was still out there today. He grabbed one of her arms and we carried her to Harvey where he helped her. She was in a cot and had wires attached to her and even a monitor. Pierre and Caroline soon came in yelling at me. I knew they didn't want her in the mines, but i also knew shed go alone and it woulda been worse if I didn't go. I watched Caroline cry into Pierres arms, he lightly patted her and went inside as his daughter started to wake up. Seb gave me a hug and left once he checked on abby as well.
Abby:hey y/n...I'm sorry.
Y/N:i should have protected you.
Abby:that's not your job. You told me I wasn't ready and i ran in. I shoulda listened.
Y/N:abby...I'm so sorry.
I cried into her lap. She patted my head and laughed softly. I could hear the pain the laughter caused. Her mom stared at us the entire time from the door entry as Harvey talked to her about what happened.
Abby:y/n...you know I wouldn't have wanted anyone else even me
Y/N:you know seb helped me.
Abby:you know what i mean! Ugh youre so....
She stared at me and just smiled, i could tell she was scared and happy she was safe. I didn't want her to ever get hurt again, but i knew i couldnt stop her from being herself. So first chance i get I'm getting her a better sword and some more health potions. I also intended on getting her a new backpack so shed have room for it all.
Abby:come here.
She sat up and hugged me tightly. She smelt like rocks and rain, weird but nice. I squeezed her and whispered.
Y/N:i love you.
