Exodus: Vampires and Mortals Part 2

Episode Five- Series Finale

Valeska marches through the hallways to the incubation room. Guards shoot at her, but their bullets are useless against her.

She reaches Lazarus. He remains in a glass box, crying. She breaks the glass and grabs him. He bleeds profusely for a few moments, then he heals.

"What the hell?" She was amazed.

"Freeze!" A guard yells at her.

She starts to walk away when he shoots. She quickly turns around and grabs the bullet before it hits her. She then throws it back at him with amazing forceel, causing it it pentrate his skin.

"Dumbass." She rolls her eyes.

Breaks down the door and tackles Diana before she injects the liquid. She screams for helo, but he breaks her neck.

He jumps up and rips Hazel free. He tosses her over his shoulder and charges out of there fastly. He gets shot once or twice before they leave the building, but it didn't phase him.

"You... you saved me." Hazel mumbled.

"I'll always save you." He says, putting her in the car.

She sits in the back next to Valeska and Syndrick. In Valeska's hands is Lazarus. Hazel leans forward and touches him.

"You got him." Hazel was thrilled.

"Yeah, it was surprisingly easy. They really should've been more prepared for us." Valeska hands him over to Hazel.

"Mommy is here now." Her tear dropped on his tiny little forehead.

"Where to now?" Syndrick asked.

"A surprise." Roak smiles.

Hazel walks downstairs and Sees her mother doing the crossword puzzle as usual. It was something that she always held close to her.

"How do I look?" Hazel was nervous.

"Beautiful, but by that face you're making I feel as if you don't think so." He mother gave a warm smile.

"It's my first day of senior year, I want to look perfect." Hazel looked at her feet.

"You look just fine. Besides, who cares what people think? You are your own person and the second you try to please others is when you are no longer yourself." He mother spoke, playing with Hazel's hair.

"Let's go, I'd rather not be tardy on the first day of senior year." Luna says when her and Gretchen enter the house.

"Oh, someone looks extra pretty today." Gretchen crosses her arms and smiles.

"See, you look just fine. Now get out of here before I have to explain to your principal that you were late because of an outfit." Her mother laughs.

There was a knock at the door.

Hazel opens it and sees Roak. Behind him is Valeska, Godrick, Syndrick, and baby Lazarus. She is stunned as if she had forgotten about them until she saw their faces.

"Choose." Roak's voice echoes in the dream.

"What do you mean?" Hazel asked him, but he didn't respond. She looks back and sees her friends and parents. In front of her was the Corridors.

She steps towards Roak.

Everyone gets out of the car, waking Hazel up. She looks out the window and sees Salsburg High School. She too gets out and follows them to the front doors.
