Episode Three

The time had come for college visits. Hazel and Gretchen boarded the bus and sat down. Both had huge smiles on their faces.

“Just a few more weeks and we' ll be college freshmen! ” Shrieked Gretchen.

“It seems like just yesterday we walked through the high school's front doors for the first time. Soon, we will be walking out of them one last time.” Hazel said.

Both seemed to reminisce in the fact that soon things would be different. They wouldn't be high schoolers, they'd be adults.

Hazel was frightened. Unlike Gretchen, Hazel was destined to live forever. She would go through this for the rest of her life.

“Move over! ” Demanded Alice as she forced another person to move for her to sit there.

“Alice? ” Gretchen was shocked.

“Say hello to the newest senior of Salsburg High School.” Alice smiled.

“Who is Ezra? ” Roak asked Lillith.

“It's a long story.” She answered.

“Luckily for you, we are vampires. We have all the time in the world to waste on stories. Tell me.” Roak says.

“Fine, but when you start to drift off, tell me.” She moaned.

“It was 1156, Norway. I had just left Syndrick and moved on to a new man by the name of Ezra Torinto. He was just like me, but he wasn't a vampire. He was a warlock.

By this time, we were madly in love. But we both knew that I could live for eternity, were he could only have a human life span. So, he decided to make a potion to make himself immortal.

After drinking the potion he had created, he fell into a deep sleep. At this point, I thought he had died. I cried for days, he never came back. I left Norway and went to Switzerland. It was twenty years later in Belgium that I heard of Ezra again.” Lillith started.

“What was said about him? ” Roak asked, nearly on the edge of his seat.

“I heard that the potion had succeeded, but had one flaw. It eliminated his powers and replaced it with a new one. He couldn't cast spells, but he could control the elements: Fire, water, earth, and air. He had created a new type of supernatural entity, and he intended to use his lifetime of earth to hunt me down and kill me for leaving him. For making him become what he is for nothing. ” She finished

“An Elementor? In Salsburg? First Taven and Azalea, now a damn Elementor. Syndrick and I will take care of Ezra, you stay here and rest.” Roak instructed.

“Wait, before you go, I need you to understand how powerful Ezra will be. He's spent hundreds of years using his powers to kill vampires. You have to be wary of him.” She warned.

“I'm a New Born who is hundreds of years older. I think I've got this.”

They reach Ravenwood University. It was Hazel's dream college for as long as she could remember. Her dream was to be a lawyer like her grandfather, and she figured that if she was to follow in his footsteps, might as well go to his college.

It was of massive proportion and gave a sense of community. Students walked around talking and laughing. They walk out of shops along the other side of the road with bags of items. It was her home.

“What should we check out first?” Gretchen asked.

“I don't know. It's hard to chose, I mean, there's just so much to do here.” Hazel answered, looking around the campus in awe.
