Episode Three

Luna was rehearsing her lines for the audition with Heather. She too was trying out for the lead role.

They kept staring at Hazel and Isacc who were preparing for Hazel's audition, but Hazel wasn't focusing. Isaac could tell too.

"You okay Hazel? You aren't paying attention." Isaac asked.

"Oh. Yeah, I'm fine.... Can I tell you a secret? " She asked.

"Sure. Spill it." He told her.

"Last night Balaroak and I kisses.... Now we are dating... Im just scared Luna is gonna hate me." She confides.

"Yikes. Luna is obsessed with him. The only thing you can do is let her get the lead part in the play." He tells her.

"What if Valeska wins? I can't let her win." Hazel reminded Isaac.

"Okay, get the lead and make Luna your understudy. Then get 'sick' and bam... She has the lead." He suggested.

The plan sounded fool proof, which Hazel liked. She had to do it. That way she beats Valeska and Luna gets the lead.

"Alright, all those auditioning for the lead female role, please step on the stage." Commanded Mrs. Murphy, the drama teacher.

Luna, Valeska, and Hazel all step up on the stage. Hazel and Luna wave at each other. Valeska began to silently giggle.

"This is odd. We had twelve people sign up for the part. Where are the others? " Mrs. Murphy asked.

"I think they got sick from the food poisoning. The cafeteria is selling expired milk again." Suggested Valeska.

Hazel looked at Valeska, who was smiling. Was Valeska up to something? She seemed suspicious in Hazel's eyes.

"First up, Valeska Corridor." Mrs Murphy shouted.

Valeska walked up and clear her throat. She stared down at the ground with her eyes closed.

"What the hell is she doing? " Luna laughed.

"Trying to scare us I think." Hazel laughed.

"Love. Tis the destruction of moral and ideals. It is what created suicide in Romeo and Juliet. I refuse to fall for the illusion that destructs mankind. " Valeska says.

"Bravo!! " Cheers Mrs. Murphy. "Next up, Luna LuCane."

Luna walks up. She shakes and shivers. Hazel felt bad, for she knew Luna was scared.

"Goodness. It triumphs over darkness. With goodness, there is nothing to fear. No worries in the galaxy. It males you stronger and wiser. It lives within us all, we just have to summon it." Luna says.

The fifteen people in the theater clapped. She did well, and had a well worded reading. Hazel was proud of her, but Valeska didn't seem phased.

Hazel walked up on stage. The light nearly blinded her. Everyone was watching her. She felt sick.

"Love. It is what humans do best. Even the darkest of creatures witness it. It makes us strive for the best. It makes us have emotions. It assures us of happiness. Woe to those with no heart. May they someday know the joy it brings." Hazel read.

The crowd went crazy. Hazel saw Valeska squeezing the handles of the chairs. Good, she was mad. But then it got better... For Hazel.

Roak walked on the stage with roses and gave them to Hazel, afterwards kissing her. When he let go Hazel saw Valeska storm out.
