The next day everyone in the family was having their breakfast when Mr. Kim started speaking.
"Sol Mi-ah, let's go to a father-daughter date today!" He said with a smile looking at the girl with a smile. Sol Mi smiled and nodded happily.
"Really?! Wahh! Me, you, and Yeon will have so much fun today!" The girl said and looked at Yeon.
The younger girl glanced at her father and looked back at her sister. She shook her head with a sad look.
"I'm sorry Unnie, I have a very important meeting today and I can't miss it." She said with an apologetic smile.
The boys looked at her with their eyebrows scrunched but didn't say anything.
Sol Mi nodded understandingly.
Yeon POV:
Unnie and Dad left for their date and Mrs. Kim also went to her company. I was going to my room when Jin Oppa called me to the living room.
I entered the living room and saw everyone there. I scrunched my eyebrows and sat down and asked, "What's wrong?
"Why did you lie to Sol Mi about the meeting? You know it's tomorrow and you're free today." Jimin Oppa asked.
I sighed and answered "Because Dad asked Unnie, not me. It was obvious that he didn't want me to come." I said with a blank face.
The boys looked at me but they knew I was right.
"And anyways, Unnie should spend some time with Dad," I said and left the room.
Author POV:
The girl left the living room with a blank face, but the boys knew very well that though she said she didn't care, she was hurt.
The girl entered her room and sat on the floor.
Flashback:
3-year-old Yeon woke up with a bright smile because today was her first day of school. The maids helped her dress up. Her mother would have dressed her up if she was alive but she wasn't.
It was a few months after the incident. Her father and brothers always locked themselves in their room not even having their meals on time. Little Yeon tried her best to get them back to how they used to be but they barely came out or they'll shout at her and tell her to leave.
Jungkook was the most depressed. He lost both his mother and his other half, his twin sister.
Yeon was in her kindergarten uniform and two pigtails determined to get her family out of their rooms and send her off to school.
She somehow managed to get the boys down after a lot of convincing but now it was her father.
She entered her father's room and saw him sleeping. The little girl shook his body and called him.
"Dad wake up! It's my first day in school today! Wake up!" The girl tried to wake him up. The older man groaned and opened his eyes to see his daughter in her uniform trying to wake him up.
"Go away Yeon, let me sleep!" The man tried to make the girl leave him alone.
"No! it's my first day in school and you should take me to school!" The little girl stubbornly said making the man angry.
"WILL YOU GO AWAY! I DON'T WANT TO TAKE YOU TO SCHOOL! NOW GET OUT OF HERE!" Her father yelled making the girl flinch and step back.
She sniffled tears flowing down her soft cheeks. She was hurt. That was the first time her father yelled at her. The little girl was scared of her father but the said man didn't care. He was having a terrible hangover from all the alcohol he had yesterday and yelled at the girl not caring that he hurt her feelings.
The little girl nodded and left without a word, tears still flowing continuously through her eyes.
The girl wiped her tears but they still kept flowing. She went downstairs and took her bag from Mrs. Choi and looked at the boys who were looking at their sister who was silently crying with concern and worry.
"You don't need to come with me, I'll go with driver uncle." With that, she ran outside leaving the boys concerned.
End of flashback
She wiped the tears that flowed down her cheeks and chuckled bitterly.
"He didn't even come to apologize to me."
