Y/n's POV:
I run into the glass door of the tower and hit my hands against the window. I'm breathing heavily but my competitiveness brought me through. Unfortunately, Peter touches the door the exact time that I do.
"I...won..." I say through breaths. He shakes his head.
"No....I hit the door...first." Both of us are drenched in sweat and Peters curls are more defined because of it.
"Y/n hit the door first by .15 of a second." Vision says from the bench in front of the tower, breaking our gaze. Wanda and Vision are sitting there looking out at the yard and Wanda claps for me. I laugh in Peters face and turn and bow to Wanda.
I turn back and Peter looks at me through his eye lashes and shakes his head, a smirk forming on his lips despite his defeat. He opens the door for me and the air conditioner wraps me in cold air. I sigh in relief and look back at Peter. I hold up an L with my fingers and he rolls his eyes.
"Vision was definitely lying." He says hoarsely.
I fake a pout and cross my arms.
"Aww. Is little Peter a sore loser?" He looks annoyed and I smile.
"Don't worry. You gave it your best." I tell him as I pat his head. He takes my hand off and an uncontrollable smile forms on his face.
"I will get you back for that." He says and my stomach gets butterflies. I take my hand out of his and I smirk.
"Whatever loser. I gotta get ready to take a chemistry test. Bye Parker."
"Bye L/n."
I get out of the shower and my phone rings. It's my mom.
"Hi mom!"
"Hey honey it's so good to hear your voice. How are you?"
"I'm actually doing pretty good. I've met all the Avengers and they're helping me train to control my powers. Why didn't you tell me sooner that I was related to playboy millionaire Tony Stark?"
"Well your dad thought he wasn't a good person and that he was egotistical so he didn't want you around him. Then after your dad died, I don't know I just was distracted and forgot I guess."
"Oh"
"So have you made any friends?" I put my mom on speaker to change.
"Well there's this boy named Peter Parker and he's my age. He's really nice and coincidentally we have the same powers. He helps me train a lot so we get to spend a lot of time together."
"Oh I'm so proud of you honey. Just please remember, to use a condom-"
"Mom! It's not like that trust me."
Her and I talk for a few minutes and then I tell her I have to take a test and hang up. I change into sweatpants and a t shirt and start my walk to the lab. I pass through the kitchen and get a sandwich to stall. After I shut the door to the refrigerator I see a hairy raccoon on the counter.
"Jesus Christ there's a rodent in the house!" I yell and it turns around holding a cookie. It's standing on its hind legs and is wearing a leather suit.
"Calm down woman I'm not a rodent!" I back away and Thor comes in. Once he sees the raccoon he laughs.
"Lady Y/n you are mistaken. This is Rocket. He is a part of the Guardians of the Galaxy." Rocket jumps from the counter to the island and holds out a paw.
"I'm sorry Rocket I'm not used to this." I shake his paw and he winks at me.
"Don't worry neither am I."
I hear the toaster pop up and I turn around to see Bucky there. He was so quiet I didn't even see him. His toast comes out burnt and he sighs. He looks up to the wall.
"There is literally no point to existence at all." I snort.
"Oh mood." His shoulders start to heave and I think he's crying. I look at his face and realize he's laughing. He pats my back and walks out of the kitchen.
"Y/n are you trying to stall for that one test you have today?" Thors asks and sips his beer. I put a finger up to my lips.
"Shhh Bruce could hear-"
"Y/n? Why aren't you in the lab?" Bruce says from behind me. I roll my eyes and turn around.
"I was just heading your way green man." He crosses his arms.
"Yep that's what I thought." He chuckles.
After an hour taking the test and crying over almost every single question, I give the test to Banner. He looks over it and tells me I got a low C on it. I groan and hit my head on the table.
"I'll tell you what. I will grade the test and give you a B minus because of how hard you tried." I thank him and skip out of the lab.
