Y/n's POV:
I pull my suitcase out to the jet and sigh. I'm nervous to go back to my house, where judgy eyes will be staring at me everywhere I go, but I miss my mom more.
Peter ended up falling asleep in my room last night. Before that, he had put back on his suit and reentered the tower to greet everyone. I had to fake my surprise as if he wasn't in my bed five minutes ago. After telling his story of the mission to the group, he told everyone goodnight and left the room. And as he left, the look he gave me,
Lets just say simply his caramel eyes meeting mine can give me butterflies.
Just to make something clear, Peter and I have never done it. I mean, I think we've gotten close, but I'm not ready for it. We're only sixteen, and we've both talked about it, but have never followed through.
So that night we didn't do it. We actually watched a Christmas movie and made out until Peter got too tired. We cuddled for a while and Peter fell asleep in little to no time.
Here's how cuddling with Peter is like:
He makes me feel so much better. He'll ask me about my day and give me neck kisses. He can make me laugh harder than anyone with his cheesy jokes and how nervous he can get.
Peter usually is the big spoon but he secretly loves being the little spoon. He turns down the movie just so we can enjoy each other's company. If we aren't spooning, then he'll hold me in his arms and I wrap mine around his torso. I love how warm and soft he is. I love the sound of his tired laughs. I love how close he holds me, as if I'll disappear any moment and he's trying hard to not let go. I love how he tries to fight sleep to stay up and talk to me longer.
But I don't love him. We're just two teenagers, and I've been through this stage in a relationship before. It's not any different. We aren't much more than puppy love.
Right?
The next morning I wake up and Peter is still dead asleep. I decide not to wake him and go take a shower. When I get back he isn't in bed anymore. I peek out and his door is shut, so I let him be. After I get dressed, I dry my hair and pack up my last few things. I hear a knock on my door and Tony's there.
"Hey Frizzle your jets ready." He says simply.
"Oh alright I'll be down in a second." I'm implying that he leaves, but he hesitates in the doorway.
"Kid do you need anything?" He asks and he seems uncomfortable. I smile and shake my head.
"No I'm good Uncle Stark." I tell him. Yet another sign for him to leave. He doesn't.
"I'm gonna miss you kid. We all are." He says bashfully. I laugh but theres warmth growing inside of me.
"It'll only be a week. We'll celebrate Christmas when I get back." I smile and he nods. He straightens his posture and wipes his nose.
"Ok bye Y/n have fun at your moms house." He gives me a quick hug and I hug him back. He leaves quickly after that and I can tell that was hard for him. Still, the man is becoming a father figure in my life, and I never thought he would.
I pull my suitcase into the hall and knock on Peters door. He opens the door but looks like he just woke up.
"I'm sorry did I wake you?" I ask and he runs a hand through his hair. He smiles at me and opens the door, letting me in.
I leave my suitcase and sit down on his bed. He must've left my room and went back to sleep because his bed is unmade and his blinds are still closed. He puts on his glasses and yawns.
"Are you leaving?" He asks as he lays down next to me. His head falls to my lap and his legs hang off the edge of his bed. I run my fingers through his hair and he breathes deeply.
