Y/n's POV:

"Mom?" I say perplexed. "I thought you weren't going to be here until later."  My heart is racing and as good as it is to see my mom, I have to get to Peter. But, mom pulls me in and I gasp.

"Rachel?" Behind my moms shoulder stands Rachel with a large suitcase and an envelope in her hand. I pull off my mask and back away from the two. Rachel puts her hands on my shoulders.

"Don't you remember? I read your letter. I can't believe my best friend is Spider-Woman." She grins and I breathe a sigh of relief as she hugs me.
"I totally forgot I told you. God I missed you!" She giggles and tugs on her coat.
"Thank god it's not the mafia." Rachel says excitedly and I laugh.

Rachel and my mom go to their hotel rooms while I pack my things at the tower. I have a rush of excitement to be with them, and also a giddy feeling about the video I just watched. Peter Parker is in love with me.

But then I get worried. When am I going to talk to him? I won't be at school all week. And even then, I can't go out alone and I don't feel like bringing my mom to see me confess my love to a boy. On top of that, my mom agreed with Stark about the breakup.

My phone chimes and I see a message from Bryce.
"Send me pics of your dress once you get it"
Shit, I completely forgot about who I'm going with. The dance is this weekend, and I still don't have a dress for it.

Of course. That's when I'll confront Peter about it. He's going with someone he doesn't want to go with, and so am I. It's perfect. But first, I gotta get a dress.

A few hours later

I sit down on the large bed next to my mom and Rachel plops down next to me. I had packed my stuff and met them at the hotel, then we went out to eat. We sat at that table for two hours talking, and never did I once bring up Peter. Still, my heart is beating out of my chest and I'm restraining myself from throwing on my suit and rushing to his house.

My mom goes down to the bar and Rachel glares at me.
"What?" I ask and take a sip of my soda.
"You're hiding something. I can tell." I look at her and snort.
"No of course I'm not hiding something." Blush creeps up to my cheeks and she gasps. I cover my face and she laughs, trying to pull my hands away.

"Is it that one dude that you were dating?" I bite my lip and nod. I tell her the whole story, leaving out parts about him also being an Avenger, and I even show her the ending of the video.

Rachel sits back stunned.
"What are you gonna do?" Shes smart; she knows I can't just run to him as much as I want to. I plop down on the bed and groan.
"I don't know. My mom doesn't approve and I have people following me everywhere I go, so I don't have a lot of options." I tell her how I'm going to talk to him at the dance, and we set a time to go dress shopping before my mom comes back in.

We turn on a movie and in less than ten minutes my mom is asleep. With a new rush of adrenaline and caffeine rushing through my veins, I stand up, ready to make decisions that I'll regret in the morning.
"I know this gas station near here that serves the best snacks. Like crazy good, gourmet snacks. Do you wanna go?" I ask, and she looks at me like I'm insane.
"Y/n come on. You have people watching you wherever you go. We can't just rush out there unless you wanna get killed."

"I won't get killed. Look I'll bring the suit and if anything happens then we can just rush back here." I'm almost going to grab my suit when my phone rings. It's Peter? Rachel sees it and gasps.

I run to my moms room and shut the door before answering my phone.
"Hello?"
"Y/n are you about to do something not smart?" Rachel motions for me to put it on speaker and I do so.
