Y/n's POV:

"Destination arrived." Tony built the GPS into my suit just in case, and I'm glad he did. I feel guilt for not telling him what I'm doing, but I'm already here so there's no turning back.

I leap onto the roof of what seems to be an apartment complex and look for Doug. I didn't bring my moms phone because then he would know I was close by. Now, I'm completely on my own in this, and it's exciting. A bit nervous as hell, but it's fun to finally be out doing something.

I don't see him out on the street, but there's loud music coming from inside the building beneath me. Suddenly, two men burst out of the door and walk to the street. I get the familiar pain in my stomach and I know it's Doug. What was I gonna do here again? Fuck I didn't think this through.

I decide to hop down from the building and get as close to them as I can. Maybe I can hear what they're saying. I jump behind a garbage can and try to be as quiet as possible.

"I'm just saying man. I don't think this is gonna work out the way you want it to. You know she's been working with the Avengers right?" The other man asks. Wait. Are they talking about me? I press a button on my suit which records what's going on around me.

"I'm aware of that, Ralph. But she might be the only way to get the serum back." Doug tells him. What serum? He must be crazy.
"And how are you gonna do that?" Ralph questions him. Doug chuckles darkly and pulls out a gun.
"Just like boss said. By any means necessary."

The trash can I'm behind falls, it's contents spilling out onto the road.
"What was that?" Ralph asks. Shitshitshitshit
"It might be someone. Come on." I hear the gun load and footsteps walking toward me.

I fling myself onto the roof again and hear one of them yell, but I don't look back. All I'm worried about is getting back to my home alive. I hear the gun go off and then feel a sharp pain in my arm. I falter a little but keep on running over rooftops and swinging on streetlights as fast as I can.

Once I'm close enough to my house, I hide in an alleyway and pull off my mask. I'm out of breath and collapse to the ground. I see blood on my suit and a tear in my sleeve. Whatever bullets he used were stronger than usual because it tore through my suit. Thankfully, the  bullet only sliced my arm, but it's bleeding pretty bad.

I put my mask back on and run to my house. I climb up to my window and fall into my room, trying to be quiet so my mom won't wake up.

A/n: your middle name- Y/m/n

Well, I don't have to worry about that because she slams open the door, wearing a pink robe.
"Y/n Y/m/n! What the absolute hell! I wake up to get a glass of water but I see your light on so I go in there and you're gone! Also why was my phone in here? Please don't say you were out fighting crime! Tony told me not to let you go out in your suit and here you are!" I feel my cheeks burning up as I take my mask off. She notices the cut on my arm and her gaze softens a little.

"Mom. You need to listen to me alright? Doug is a bad person and he's using you to get to me. I don't know how he knew I was with the Avengers but he does and I have no idea what to do." I tell her as I stand up. I've grown so I'm now eye level with her. She audibly laughs at me and I grip my arm.

"Y/n you're unbelievable. Do you really not like Doug that much?" She asks me and I furrow my eyebrows.
"What are you taking about?" I ask.
"Honey, you've worked yourself up so much that you're now making assumptions that aren't true. Look I know this is hard for you but please just let me be happy. I know you're jealous and thinking I'm replacing your dad, but trust me he was an entirely different relationship." I shake my head.

"No no no mom you don't understand-"
"Maybe not but I do understand that you sneaked out of the house and disobeyed not only me but also Tony. Now you know where the first aid kit is for that. I'm going back to bed." She kisses me on the cheek and grabs her phone before walking out of my room. What the hell? Why didn't she believe me? I know there's no use for trying to talk to her more so I grab my phone and FaceTime someone I know will be up this late.

"Hey Y/n. Why are you up this late? it's like two where you are." Peter says as he turns on his lamp. I ignore his question and sit down on my bed.
"Are you at the tower?" I ask and he shakes his head no.
"No I'm at Mays—wait a second are you wearing your suit? And is that blood on it?What's going on baby you're scaring me." I can feel his anxiety shoot up just through the phone.

"I'm okay Peter don't worry. Actually maybe you should worry I don't know right now. I'm literally about to pass out from stress so please just listen to me. You're freaking out which is making me freak out and-" I realize I'm on the verge of tears and I'm shaking. Peters eyes fill with worry but he takes a breath.

"Ok I'm sorry. Are you okay?" He asks and I shrug. I tell him everything I saw and he listens to me intently.
"But I don't know what to do. Mom won't listen to me and I feel helpless. Tony will tell me to stop and I don't want to. I have to make sure he isn't going to hurt my mom." I tell him.
"So if that is your motive then you should stop him. There's no point in stopping you." Hes right. I was gonna continue with this whether he approved or not.

"So do you want me to distract you or do you wanna keep on talking about it?" He asks. God I love him. I tell him to keep on talking about it, but the more I talk about it the more I get stressed out. I end up asking him to distract me and he does very easily.

We talk about anything we can before I can barely keep my eyes open. I had gotten ready for bed and cleaned my wound while on FaceTime with Peter. All in all, we were on the phone together for more than two hours.

Now, I'm in bed and he's also in his bed. Even though we're miles apart, I feel like he's right next to me.
"Well you should get some sleep. It'll make your arm feel better I promise. Whatever you do please be careful baby." I bid him goodnight and finally fall asleep, almost forgetting what had happened with Doug.
