     Diane's pov

Different thoughts and conclusions ran through my head as we got down from the car after she parked. I kept wondering if she was my best friend from years ago and how that would mean a lot to me but I couldn't conclude on anything yet.

I followed her into the house which was still how I remembered it. The sofas I had gossiped on with jade. The staircase that I and Ryan had argued on a lot, the kitchen door that we had removed from it's hinges at a time because of rough play.

But I still don't believe we did that, I always believed that the door had already removed from it's hinges before we got there, but we got scolded anyway.

The paintings that adorned the sitting room walls. The landscape painting, the painting of a beautiful valley and that of an eagle carrying it's eaglet on its wings.

I always remembered that my best friends mum from back then had loved paintings and art so much that she got a lot of them, but some were hung in her room and around.

"Diane!!...." Jade's voice cut through my thoughts and I jolted slightly before turning to face her with a blank look on my face,

"I asked if you would like a glass of water as I could use one myself" she said drawing the words out,

"Uhmmm yeah, I would love to" I replied,

"Okay, let's go to the kitchen" she said and led the way to the kitchen where I got even more confused or should I say convinced. The wall painting of bright cream was the same, the sink and the utensils, I remembered them all.

I stood a little motionless as Jade opened the tall fridge in the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water before taking two glasses and pouring its contents in.

She offered one to me and I said my thanks before gulping the contents down. I really needed the water for the shock and confusion coursing through me.

I dropped the glass into the sink and watched as she sipped hers. I wouldn't be so surprised if they were my best friends from back then but what will surprise me is the fact that I've been by them all along without realising it.

She finished up her water and returned the cup before facing me, "I want to change into a more comfortable cloth and get a recipe for a new dessert I found online. You could help in rating it",

     "Sure",

"Okay then, let's go to my room upstairs".

She led the way upstairs and entered a room by the right. I was awed by it, It was so beautiful and big and colourful and I really loved the design.

The wall was painted a bright glittery pink which was just how I remembered it and love seats were placed in the corner. The queen sized bed took up most of the space as it sat in the middle of the room with a pink coloured bedsheet and a white sparkling duvet covering it.

Her walls were filled with different pictures of the band and there was a particular picture of Jason looking all sexy and handsome with that charming smile of his.

But none of that caught my attention like what sat on her bedside table. It was a small frame that held the picture of three children on the beach. Their smile was so wide and the picture captured the rising waves behind them, making it look even more fascinating.

I could never forget that day at the beach. Our parents had taken us to Miami for a vacation and we had visited the beach there. We had a nice time at the place and i remembered when a photographer who was also on a vacation had decided to take a photograph of us as we played.
