Chapter 13

Adaria's Point of View

"Oh my God! You got it!" I excitedly shouted at Raph's band. They looked at me with questioning eyes.

"Congratulations! We are happy to tell you that you are now officially part of the MELO entertainment. Welcome to the family, Necromancer!" That is what the mail said. Inulit ko pa iyong binasa at baka hindi nila narinig.

"Woah! Guys! Did I heard it right?!" One of Raph's bandmates said. Niyugyog pa nila ang katawan nang isa't isa. Nakita ko pang sinasampal noong isa ang kaniyang pisngi.

"Hoy! Raphael! Para kang tanga! Natanggap kayo! Hindi mo ba narinig?!" Ani naman ni Abiss habang naglalakad patungo sa kay Raph. Niyakap niya ito at hinalikan pa niya ito sa pisngi.

"Eww! What the fuck?! Abiss!" Maarteng ani ni Raph na kinatawa lang namin.

"Sorry na Beks! I'm so happy for you kasi." Maarteng sabi naman ni Abiss na kinatawa uli namin.

My friends already knew what Raph is and they accepted him. The night before and the day he confessed was one hell of a day. It was chaotic!

"MOM! Dad! Pwede ba tumigil muna kayo! I am gay! Okay! Please stop making me date girls because I can't date one. If you're going to force me into an arranged marriage, just kill me." Nagalit na talaga siya. Nagkagulo kasi sa bar after Tita Rafaela sang on stage. She saw Tito Raphael which made her sugod to Tito.

"What did you just say? You're gay?" Ani ni Tita habang tinignan muna saglit si Tito. Natulala pa silang dalawa ni Tita after they heard what Raph said.

"Yes! And foolish me for assuming and hoping that you two have a chance. Ang kompanya lang pala ang iniisip niyo. Only your personal motives! You two, don't even care if I am fine? I am invincible then, why see me now? Because you ran out of funds to spend on your luxuries?"

"Son, we didn't mean to do that. We are just minding your future. The company is your future. You are the only heir to inherit it, please don't think that we are just thinking about ourselves. 'Coz were not." Ani naman ni Tita habang nilalapitan ang naluluhang si Raph. I am holding his hands so I let it go for a while because Tita is reaching for them. But Raph never let go of it. He even squeezed it which made me looked in his direction.

"It's sad that you didn't even mind my words about me coming out to you as gay. See! You only cared for the company!" Napataas ang boses ni Raph kaya nakakuha uli kami ng atensyon mula sa ibang costumers. I caressed his hands with my thumb to calm him.

"Don't you dare shout at your mother like that!" Ani naman ni Tito kaya napatingin naman kami sa kaniya.

"I'm sorry, Mom." Raph realized what he did so he let go with my hands and grab his mother into a hug. He must have adored his mother so much.

"I'm sorry too, baby. I know already that you're gay. Anak kita kaya, kilala kita. Anak kita, kaya tanggap kita. Please don't you ever think that I don't care for you because I do. I am your mother! I love you with all my heart. Inaalala ko lang ang kinabukasan mo. I'm sorry if my relationship with your father affects you this much. You know what I felt but I never even asked you if you are okay. I'm really sorry." Hindi ko maiwasang maluha sa eksenang ito kasi alam ko na hindi na ito mararanasan pa.

Raph may think he is unlucky but I think he's not. He is luckier than me because he still has his parents. Compared to me, I don't have my parents anymore. My heart aches at the thought of it.

"Son. I accept you too." Tito said which made the mother and son look in his direction. Raph is surprised by what he has heard.

"Sure ka ba d'yan, Raphael?" Tanong ni Tita na habang nakataas pa ang kilay. Napabuntong hininga tuloy si Tito.
