Living the dream

"Sam! It's Colby!' Corey shouted holding out his phone. Sam grabbed the phone and spoke to Colby for a bit. He nodded and nodded to whatever Colby was saying. He ended the call and told Corey and Jake to pack up and prepare to check out from the hotel. I was confused, where was Colby? How are we just suppose to leave Colby here?

"Sam, what's going? Where is he? Is he okay?" I croaked out. My voice raspy from crying. Sam explained that he was fine, he just needed time to be alone for a moment. He asked if we could help him pack and proceed to check out and he will meet us at the airport. I nodded and slowly continue to pack. I can't believe Colby just left like that, what if anything had happened to him. I sat there in disbelief.

Sam, Jake and Corey were all ready out in the living room of our suite. I took Colby's and my duffle bag out. Jake helped me Colby's bag and Corey helped with mine even though I told him I was fine. We walked out the suite and head down to the lobby. Sam and Corey went over to the counter to check all of us out while Jake and I hang around the seating area in the lobby.

"Ana, you know Colby cares about you right? He'll be fine, don't worry about it." Jake consoled me. I gave him a small smile to let him know I heard him and checked my phone. I edited a few pictures I took from my phone from the walk with Colby earlier. I posted a picture of the hotel structure and typed the caption. "Forgiveness does not change the past but it does enlarge the future." I posted the picture on my business account and set aside my phone. Sam and Corey walked over to tell us we have successfully checked out and we walked out of the hotel. I filmed the last shot of the lobby, with everyone saying goodbye and I stopped recording, that's a wrap for the Florida trip.

"Well, lets go then, we don't want to miss our flight." Sam chirped. He doesn't looked worried about Colby anymore, he must know that Colby would be fine then. I trust Sam. There was not a single worry line across his face at the moment, so Colby must be doing alright and is safely waiting for us at the airport.

We just step foot outside the hotel when the PA system called out my name. "Ana Summers!" I jumped from where I was and turned around to look at the counter we just walked past. I saw Colby standing on the counter, holding the microphone attached to the PA system, his other hand open wide. "Everyone, I'm sorry to interrupt you daily schedule, but I have something to say! Ana Summers, you make me the happiest person in the world." As he continued, the hotel staffs started throwing flower petals in the air causing them to fall in front of me.

My eyes teared both in fear and happiness wondering what Colby would say next. "I know you and I will make a great couple and I think it's time we take our friendship to another level." He stepped down from the counter, letting go of the microphone and walked towards me, across the flower petals.

"Will you, Ana Summers, say yes to being my girlfriend?" He took my hand, holding them tight. He looked me straight into my eyes, right then, I saw all his emotions, pouring out. I nodded my head causing to feel dizzy, I was too happy to speak but I managed to croaked out a "yes". Colby hugged me so tight I couldn't breath, he spun me around and then gave me a long passionate kiss. I hear claps and cheers from around us and realise that we were out in public, kissing and hugging. Colby gave me a very big smile and gave me another kiss. I melted into it, being the happiest I have been after so long.

We let go of each other and Colby thanked all the hotel staffs that helped him out. Sam approached the both of us and gave both of us hugs. "Thanks brother for checking out early bringing Ana here." Colby thanked Sam. "No problem brother, she's the one." Sam replied to him hugging him. They really complete each other. I realised then that Sam knew that this was going to happen. That is why his face did not show any worry. I gave Sam another hug and then all of us left the hotel. Sam drove us all to the airport in the rented car.

When we reached the airport, a few fans were waiting. I was nervous knowing that I just went public as Colby Brock's girlfriend. I stepped out of the car and walked into the airport hand in hand with Colby. He gave my hand a squeeze, signalling me to calm down and walked towards the fans waiting. "Hi guys, how are you?" Colby greeted them. They responded and took a few selfies with Colby. "By the way, have you guys met Ana?" Colby introduced me to them. "Omg you're the girl he literally proposed to this morning." The girl commented. I blushed and explained that Colby didn't propose but he might as well have. They laughed and we talked for a bit before Corey called us over. We said our goodbyes and left them to join Corey and the others.
