Chapter 16: Stage Two; One By One (part 5 out of 9)

The scientists stood still from so much panic.
"It's ok, it's ok." Alue tried to calm down the beast by petting it.
The Blooder seemed startled and flinched at Alue's hand.
Alue formed back from Dark-Blood, into a human, and jumped onto its back and petted it, trying to console the Blooder. She sensed no harsh emotion from the Blooder, so she figured it felt calm. The Blooder gently growled, but not a threatening growl.
The scientists and Jake looked like their eyes would roll out of their faces if they kept staring in awe.
Alue held in laughter, thinking their faces were priceless when this Blooder acted like a dog.
"...?" The Blooder observed the people in a peculiar manner and swished its reptile, red-brown tail. It placed its paw in front of Jake, sticking its tongue out in a playful manner and blinked.
"It means no harm, I hope." Alue shrugged.
"Creepy. But awesome at the same time." Jake struggled to blink and placed his hand on the Blooder's huge reptilian paw and then sat on its paw.
Since the Blooder is about three or four times the size of Jake and the others, the Blooder licked Jake's head like a puppy, showering him with saliva.
Jake scowled at the Blooder. "I showered this morning, come on!"
Alue and the scientists laughed at Jake's shower.
"Aw, lighten up, Jake," Alue kept laughing. "If the Blooder gave you a shower, it means it loves you. Or maybe it wants to cook you when you're asleep and claw your eyes out." Alue innocently smiled at Jake, while Jake's and everyone's reaction was the opposite.
"Do you want me dead?" Jake played along by making puppy eyes.
Alue closed her eyes and grinned, "Don't worry, I'm going to help the Blooder barbecue you and we both devour your face."
Jake crossed his arms and dropped his mouth in shock. "Cannibal!"
Alue only waved at him and grinned. "That's just how much I love you, Jake."

With Astoroth...
"Prepare some of your base members." Astoroth commanded.
Xaver cracked his knuckles. "Will do. My trackers are pretty good-"
Astoroth interrupted Xaver, "I don't want your trackers to be 'pretty good'. I want them to capture a few anti-allies."
Xaver huffed. "I clearly understood that, sir."
Astoroth smirked. "Perfect. We will slowly get rid of our anti-allies. Then I want a few heads starting two more days..."

Time skip!
Next day
Alue has been training the tamed Blooder while the scientists and Jake respectively experimented with the other Blooder. But Alue has sended several members with her to patrol in case of more Blooders or people being attacked. There has been a slow rate of infected people, which did not go well for them.
However, Jake has been bothered when he remembered that Alue was bitten by the tamed Blooder. He wondered if Alue will become...no, she couldn't. She's too strong because of Astoroth. But something within told him to be cautious in case Alue show signs of being infected by the chemical.
He wasn't the only one who seemed aware. So did Alue. But she only felt stronger, not different. The Blooder's bite has been taking affect before she slept. She's struggling to control this strength, and has been thinking how she could use this strength for...
Alue, Eira, and Isaya had been making a map of several cities by creating shortcuts to secretly travel city to city. So far, it worked. They haven't been tracked by Astoroth for now...
Hugo insisted to become allies with Alue, but Hugo's base members didn't accept Alue or her allies.
On the contrary with Alue and her allies, they have been slowly accepting Hugo. Of course, they never liked Hugo's base members, but, they still gave the new base members respect.
Second day...
Kira and Jaceline had left Astoroth's base without Astoroth knowing. Kira decided to tell Jaceline what Astoroth is up to, and that he didn't want to expose her to more danger. It was devastating for Jaceline to process, but she thought the better choices from leaving that base. She preferred to be anywhere with Kira after he proposed her to bear his child. That hasn't been done yet, but she has been thinking seriously about that. Jaceline knows Kira is patient, she may be nineteen, and Kira may be twenty, but for now, she's not sure if she wants a child.

This was the day for Astoroth and Xaver to take action to track several or at least one anti-ally...
"Jokka..." Xaver sneered at his trackers.
The man with a black mask covering half of his face stared back at Xaver. "Prepared to start the mission, Xaver."
Astoroth nodded at them, "Don't fail me. Search everywhere in this city."
A woman gave a nod towards Xaver and Astoroth, "We will. Let's go."
Jokka and his team exited the base in search of any anti-allies...

At Alue's hideout, she chose several trackers to patrol the city with her. But the trackers insisted to try to patrol the city by themselves. Alue was about to disagree, but she thought about it. Well, she can't play the mother role the whole time. It's been a while. She agreed with the idea to let her trackers patrol the city, and they left the hideout...
