Chapter 14: Epidemic Begins (part 1 out of 4)

Ok! I have edited this during the weekend and I'm going to start putting on some soundtracks and post drawings of my characters on Monday, hopefully it will fit the situations.

Btw, the red haired character is Phoenix. Just finished drawing him on Saturday. I tried to draw tiger stripes on his face, but it didn't go the way I wanted. Oh, well. I tried.
Time Skip! Two weeks later, 8:53 pm.
Hell's Kitchen, New York
One of the injured patients from Hugo's base roamed in the streets of Hell's Kitchen.
His name: Phoenix.
Age: Twenty-seven years old
Physical description: Rusty red brown hair, orange eyes, dark tan, muscular and six feet tall, five inches. He is half human and half Cytoclepse.
Talents: Hot wiring cars, medicine, and basketball.
Phoenix has been having similar effects Deizria had. But in his case, the side effects were still taking over. He went to the process of broken bones. Now, he was going through the process of coughing blood. Yes, the chemical is that strong. But depending on the person, he or she will have different side effects.
"Urgh..." Phoenix fell to his knees and leaned on his left arm. He tugged at his bandaged wounds and began to cough blood again. He struggled to stand and walk. He kept coughing blood and notice a gang that glanced at him. But Phoenix could are less. He kept walking while hearing threats from the gang.
"Ey! This our territory! You better get out of here!"
Phoenix chuckled. "Or what...?"
The leader of the gang started coming towards him. "Or else I'm going to slit your throat and stab your eyes out!"
Before Phoenix could respond, the strongest impact came. He twitched from the effects of the chemical for a second and fell. Now the pain was really starting.
"Man, this guy be trippin'." One of the gang members commented.
The gang leader scoffed. "Trippin'? He must be on something." He went to Phoenix and sneered at him. He then kicked him once. That made Phoenix violently shake and yell in pain. He clutched his head and flipped side to side, hitting his head. He wanted the pain to end.
"Hey, get up." The gang leader ordered.
It was no use. Phoenix thrashed his arm onto the foot of the gang leader. His nails started forming into dagger like claws. His teeth began to form into little blades and clutched onto the gangster's foot, adding more pressure.
"Hey! Get off, you f-king psycho!" The leader began to panic and kicked him with his other foot. He then stabbed Phoenix at his right arm. Then the rest of his gang came to help him.
Phoenix 'went' out cold.
"Did he just die?" One asked.
"I hope." They were all hovering over Phoenix. But Phoenix slightly twitched his left pinky finger. When his eye burst open, his eye color became pure black and the iris turned into a marine blue. A thin line between the iris and eye color turned into a baby blue to make a contrast.
"Holy s--t! His eyes!" The third gang member pointed at Phoenix's face. The rest of the gang slowly backed up. But it was too late.
"GAH!" The second gang member was attacked at his left side of the abdomen. The fourth gang member shot Phoenix at his shoulders. But nothing happened to Phoenix.
"Oh, s--t!" The sixth gang member loudly commented while he recorded the scene.
The leader jumped in the act and kicked Phoenix in his midsection. Phoenix stared at him with a terrifying gaze. He had the look of bloodlust in his eyes and lunged at the gang leader to the left shoulder and collarbone. Blood splattered from the gang leader's wounds.
Phoenix then dropped the gang leader and stared at the others. He then turned into a half Cytoclepse.
"Oh, my god!" The rest gasped at what Phoenix was turning into. They saw his skin turn into tiger stripes and his ears formed into cat like ears. He then grew black and marine blue dragon wings from his shoulder blades. The others backed away slowly again, hoping that Phoenix won't attack them. For their luck, Phoenix just ran away, and the rest of the gang slowly carried the gang leader to a hospital...
