Still at Hugo's base,
With the scientists and healers, Vegas worked with the healers, or medics, doesn't matter what you call them.
The healers gave the chemical to the injured members. The scientists and the healers didn't know the substance was the chemical, they were too busy doing researches and didn't pay much attention to the patients. Only Hugo and his leader allies knew and how they were going to plan it.
But the Hugo didn't get the results he wanted. The side effects were very unexpected. But the healers and medics didn't notice the side effects after they injected the chemical in the injured. The next day, half of the injured acted like nothing happened, but went through a painful process before they became different... A certain Shadow Shear teenage girl would make a good example of the process, since she was only in her room the whole time. She had a slim yet slught muscular figure from the training she had. She had red hair with natural silver eyes and a natural tan caramel skin. Her name is Deizria.
"Argh!" She curled her fists on her blankets, tearing through the fabric. She started flipping back and forth in her bed. The chemical went through her bloodstream at a fast pace. The construction materials of the base was soundproof, so nobody could hear the screams of those who were injected with the chemical.
Her eyes have been looking bloodshot, but the pain going through her skull made her want to commit suicide. On the scale of one to ten, she was feel the pain at eight. Panicking. She wondered how she's not dying from this. As the chemical spread through her bones, she could feel and hear them crack. One by one, and a quick pace , too. The pain made her violently shake. Then after five minutes, she stopped moving. Her face became emotionless. The iris in her eyes darkened. She just looked at her surroundings and then blankly stared at the ceiling. She felt different. She sat crisscrossed on her bed and observed the damage she made to the bed sheets. She felt like she wanted to kill something. She stood and left her room, turning into a Shadow Shear...

Deizria's side effects...
She kept running in the base. Nobody was awake, since this is 5:00 am in the morning. She wanted, no... She needed to kill. This urge. Deizria felt stronger, faster reflexes, more agility. Three times the eyesight than what She used to have. She likes this power. She likes the new Deizria. She can crush heads and crumble bones. It felt incredible. She skidded to a stop when She heard a male voice.
"Who's there?"
Deizria made no response as she hid behind the corner of the hallway She was in while the man glanced her way and didn't notice her. She growled, alluring him to come closer, which he did. He froze when he saw her cold silver eyes glow and her bared razor teeth. He tried to run away, but She caught him.
"Ahhh!" The man groaned in agony as Deizria pierced through his shoulder with her razor sharp teeth. The man elbowed Deizria at her jaw, distracting her and tried to escape. Big mistake.
Deizria caught him again with her paw. She pinned him and was ready to attack.
The next second, Deizria fell out cold on top of the man.
The man was in shock and almost fainted if it wasn't for Hugo.
"Bryse?!" Hugo gently pulled the man away from Deizria. "Bryse, you ok?"
Byrse blinked several times and stuttered. "N-no. Deizria bit me. Hurts like h-ll."
Hugo widened his eyes as he examined Deizria.
"Is she dead?" Bryse anxiously asked.
Hugo shook his head. "I shot her with tranquilizers. She should wake up until tomorrow." He began to think to himself. 'She was one of the injured and was injected with the chemical. Therefore, the other injured have or had the similar side effects. And some of them left the base. Astoroth is going to kick my a-s. He and the other leader allies will not be happy. I need to talk to Vegas...' "Alright," Hugo bit his lip. "I'm going to take you with the healers. Can you walk?"
Bryse nodded as he stood. "With struggle, but I can."
Hugo nodded and put his arm around Bryse, giving him support as he took him to the healers...

After taking Bryse to the healers...
Hugo's POV
"Vegas!" He gripped onto her arm. "We need to talk. And no jokes at this moment, this is serious."
Vegas narrowed an eyebrow. "What-? What happened to Bryse and Deizria?"
"That's what I'm going to explain. Deizria was one of the patients, right?"
Vegas nodded.
"That chemical must've had side effects, because she attacked Bryse! And that goes to the other patients, too! The bad news is, some of them left the base on the streets of New York!"
Vegas didn't even know what to say. The silence clouded around them, trying to figure out how they will capture the injured patients back in the base.
