Few hours later...
"When will we see each other again?" Eira asked. Casey wrapped his arms around her and nuzzled. "Time will tell if we can see each other again. Ok? Before I go...just one last time." The couple smiled and kissed one last time. "I'm going to miss you, Eira." "And I'll miss you, too, Casey. Until next time." Both went to the opposite directions, never looking back as Casey headed back to Astoroth's office...With Alue...
"C'mon, Violet, pick up." Skull tapped his foot impatiently as he tried to call to give her the signal. "Not picking up?" Tony asked anxiously. Skull shook his head and called again. 'Dang it, Violet, what are you doing...?" Skull thought. It's been two days that Skull tried to contact Violet. He and the others pray that nothing risky happened back at the base...With Astoroth...
"Sir?" Casey asked Astoroth. "What now?" Casey showed him the security cameras. "There is a riot on the second floor, halfway heading to the third floor." Astoroth's silver streaked green eyes glinted with impatience. "Who is responsible for this?" Casey looked at the members of the base and spotted Destiny and her friends fighting to escape from the base. "Destiny, Violet, Darius and twenty other people..." Astoroth calmly stood from his chair staring at the cameras. It scared Casey how 'calm' Astoroth is, that he didn't know how to react to his behavior. "I'll be back..." Astoroth walked out of his office and ran, speeding to where the riot was. Casey took the chance to hack into Astoroth's laptop and insert the hard drive. It only took five minutes to load information, then he took of the hard drive and inserted the chip, typing codes so that the laptop could approve the chip. As soon as this was done, the laptop started to go haywire. Casey quickly took the chip and hid it in his shoes and also ran where the riot was. But it was too late when he saw Violet and the others arm locked by the guards in a circle. Astoroth walked around them, sneering.
"What are all of you doing?" Violet glared at Astoroth. "Going to wherever Alue is! We know what you did to her! We have noticed that most of the people changed because only god knows what you did to them!" Astoroth seemed amused and suspected what she said and how she knew. "And how do you know about this?" Darius widened his eyes and snapped his attention towards Violet. "Don't tell him, Violet!" Violet didn't pay attention and blurted how she knew. Big mistake... "My brother told me." Astoroth was surprised of her answer. He figured how Tony told Violet about the frame plan the day he asked Tony to get him the laptop. He yanked Violet by the hair, holding her in midair. "Oh, did he...?" Violet tried to not writhe in pain. "We spread the news, in fact..." She smiled bravely and Astoroth simply dropped her as if she was a ball. He looked at his guards and commanded, "Take them to execution-" that, is when Casey interrupted him. "You can't." Astoroth narrowed his eyes. "Why not...? Give me a good reason for that." Casey braced for the thin line of the moment. It was either life or death now. "Because how else will we track Alue? Surely, one of them has to have some type of contact. We can't kill any of them yet. We can use them as bait to lure Alue to us. What do you think?"
Astoroth perked his small elf ears. "I like the way you think. Great plan, almost too good..." He writhed his hand, making the bones a cracking noise. "Ok. Guards, put these..." He sneered at Violet and the others. "Traitors to Section five in the prison chambers. Now! And to everyone, continue to what you were doing." The guards did what Astoroth commanded and half of the people in the base stared while the other half minded their own business...With Alue...
"Alue!" Skull ran everywhere in the hideout looking for her. Then Alue trans-stepped behind Skull. (A trans-step is simply teleportation)
"What's the matter?" Alue calmly asked. Skull shook his head in fury. "Astoroth caught them..." "What?!" Alue's eyes showed shock. "Someone told them. The device Violet had recorded what happened..." He handed his communicator device to Alue. She then pressed play to hear what happened. Her ears couldn't believe what she heard Casey say and how much in danger Violet and the others are in. She to get in the base, but how? With who? She usually came up with ideas. But in this situation, she was secretly in panic...With Casey...
"Ok!" The guard locked the bars and walked to Casey. "Here you go," the guard handed Casey the keys. "The leader trusts you to take care of them. But for now, you can take a break." Casey nodded. He put the keys in his pocket and went to where Violet was. 'Ok. That really hurt me to do that to Violet and her friends...but for now, I'm somewhat protecting them. Step one; spy, accomplished. Step two; lie and truth at the same time, also accomplished. Now step three; find Alue. That won't be easy...' Casey thought. "Violet?" He held onto the bars that caged her and her friends. Violet slowly lifted her head and glared at Casey. "What do you want? You were spying on us the whole time?" Casey hated himself for what he did, but he didn't want Violet and her friends to die. He nodded in guilt... "Why!?" Violet banged her fist onto the bars, startling Casey. "Look...it won't be easy to process, but I have to explain if you allow me and want to know." Violet hesitated, but nodded. Casey sighed, not knowing where to start. He nervously rubbed his neck and started to explain that he has been a double spy and had no choice to blow their cover to Astoroth, but made up a risky plan that will somewhat protect them for the time being, not much time, actually. Violet slid against the wall to the floor. She wrapped her knees closer to her chest. "I know you hate me now. I won't ask for forgiveness from you or anyone else. But I had no choice. I don't want to see you kids die." Violet slightly nodded. "Yea, I 'did' hate you. But what you just explained to me...I will have some faith in you." Casey nodded. "Please...how can I contact Alue? I need to find her so that I can tell her what's going on and how I will her and you guys?" Violet shuffled through her backpack and gave him her communicator device. "Thanks, Violet. I owe you kids huge time. I'll be back, promise." Violet nodded and Casey left the prison chambers...As Casey almost left the base, a guard stopped him. "Where are you going?" Casey remained calm and simply answered, "I'm taking a break from the prison chambers. I'll be back..." He simply left as the guard eyed him suspiciously. Casey went to the surface of the streets, (the base is underground, for those who didn't know) and ran far away. He then stopped and tried to contact Alue.
With Alue...
"Violet!" Alue picked up and quickly recognized that it wasn't Violet, but Casey. "What do you want, Casey?" She asked with a calm, yet stern voice.
Casey hesitated to answer, knowing it won't be so easy to chat. "May I go to where your hideout is?"
Alue chuckled. "For what reason?"
Casey sighed. "So that I can help you. Yes, I know this seems untrustworthy of me, but I'm not what you think I am."
Alue had a puzzled look in her eyes as she suspected those words. She decided to listen to him. "Go on..."
Casey prayed for the situation to go on without risk. "I would rather explain it at your location, if you allow me."
Alue hesitated, but remained calm. "Is there any catch? Is this a trap to lure me to Astoroth? Will you snitch on my location?"
Casey simply answered, "No. None of the above. I just can't explain in the base, because I will be murdered for being a traitor, too"
Alue somewhat figured what he tried to say and now trusted him a little. "Alright. But I'm still taking precautions. I will tell you my location. When you pass ten streets by the hospital, you will see a forest. Go through it. When you see a thin river. Head straight and after four trees, you will see green and yellow ribbons. The yellow points to the west, the green points to the east. I am at east. After the direction you take and the forest, you will only see snow. Then you will see a metal door shaped like a circle with a key pad and a handle. I will open the door for you when you knock five times. I will be waiting..."
As Alue hung up, Casey walked out of the base. "Thank you. I will come back for you guys. Promise." He said to himself as he thought about the lives of Violet and her friends...
Once he left the base, he ran past ten streets and through the forest. After two miles, he saw the river Alue described and went straight. He saw a green ribbon and a yellow ribbon. He headed east and exited the forest. After walking a mile, he saw the metal door on the ground that Alue described and knocked five times.
Alue heard the five knocks and pressed a button, opening the door. "You're going to have to jump in, don't be afraid, Casey." Casey forced himself to jump and landed on the big pillow. "I know you still don't trust me, but this is important." Alue nodded. "Give me your hand... I will see if you're telling the truth." Casey did what she said and the memory connection began. Alue saw images of Casey talking to Eira and Blackraven, plotting against Astoroth. But she also saw that Casey has two kids with Eira. A boy with brown hair and blue eyes who looked exactly like Casey. Only Casey had dark blonde hair. And a girl with also brown hair, but had a blue eye and a green eye. Alue quickly stopped the memory connection by pulling her hand away. Casey blinked, trying not to look dizzy. "Ok," Alue said. "I believe you. How do you want to help?" Casey thought of it. "You could bring back up while we help Violet and the others escape." Alue nodded. "And if Astoroth catches us?" Casey's face made a stern look. "Then it's my responsibility." Alue widened her eyes and swallowed. She doesn't know what will happen, but she couldn't just let Violet and the others be executed. She had to do something...and fast.
