Kira's POV
Things haven't been going right. People seem...emotionless. They don't care what one does. They don't look for each other's back like they used too. Yeah, I'm a douche bag, but I'm not that cruel. My father, most of all; he isn't what he used to be. I understand that our family lineage was almost wiped out. I understand that my mother died when she gave birth to me. But I don't understand why he's so persistent to finding the one who almost killed our family lineage and wanting to kill him. I tried to ask him many times, he never answered... That is when he changed. He wasn't cruel or power hungry. He would always be at my side when something troubled me. Since the day I've started to realize how much he changed, that man is not my father anymore...

"What the h-ll, dad?!" I exclaimed as he abruptly pushed me to the wall.
He only glared at me with his cold silver streaked green eyes. "What do you mean 'What the h-ll?!' You didn't go on the meetings with our allies!" He held the collar of my shirt, making me stare at his cold eyes.
"So what, father? Do you think I care?" I sneered at him. And then...
Smack! My face landed on the ground. I slowly got to my knees and placed my hand on my cheek. My own father just punched me... My eyes didn't show emotion, but only stared at him...
"You'll be fine," he scowled at me as he kneeled in front of me. "Man up. And you better start caring a little bit, because our allies is the only chance we can get rid of Alue and her allies!"
Again, he just left me here and got up. He simply walked through the hall and went to his room, I assumed. I could care less...
Walking, I quietly grumbled to myself. I swore the whole time, not even paying attention to where I was walking. Next thing I know, I bump into a girl. Great, my day can't get any better.
"Ow..." The girl quietly whined when she landed on her butt. I just blinked emotionlessly at her.
"Sorry..." I scratched the back of my neck and carefully pulled her on her feet.
"I'll let this slide for now." The girl smiled. Eh, at least she tried to lighten up my mood, I suppose. She had blonde hair with four thin light brown streaks and had light green eyes. She had a very light tan. I'm also guessing that she likes pink, since she's wearing a pink dress shirt with pink bracelets?
"Hello?" The girl asked me. She looked sixteen, in my opinion.
"You ok? You seem like you went through a bad time today." She tried to read my face. Ha, if only you knew how I've been getting abused...
I cleared my throat, trying to change the emotions on my face. "No, life is just...divine."
The girl only smiled at me and slowly shook her head. "You know, it's not a good idea to suppress feelings. It's not healthy."
I scoffed and blurted words. "And what do you know about the situation I'm going through?"
"I don't know. You tell me. You look like you need a friend."
Ok...this girl must be good at reading people, because what she said threw me off guard. Completely threw me off guard. This made me raise my eyebrows a bit.
"What do you...?" I didn't even know what to ask her, except to stutter.
"I've seen you roam the halls sometimes since a year ago," She explained. "And I never seen you with anybody. You look alone and...stressed. Sometimes, you don't look like you trust anybody."
I didn't even know what to say... I was in shock.
"This may be silly, but, would you let me be your friend?" She smiled, making me dumbly stare and hesitate.
"I don't even know you...?" I dumbly asked.
"Oh, how rude of me." She pouted. "My name is Jaceline."
I tilt my head. "Sounds like Josciline."
Jaceline nodded. "So I've been told. What's your name?"
"I'm...kira."
