With Kira and Jaceline...
It's been a while since they left the base without Astoroth knowing. Or so they think.
But for now, they had nothing to worry about since Jaceline is carrying Kira's child since last month. Both don't know what is the gender of their baby, but they didn't care if their baby was going to be a girl or a boy. Sure, they lived in a apartment to blend in the crowds of people. They didn't come outside very much unless if it was to get basic needs such as water, food, tools, etc. but they kept smiling and valuing the time they spend with each other
Kira finally became extrovert to Jaceline, telling her that he did take part in Astoroth's plans and mischievous jobs. It was tough for Jaceline to process, but she couldn't help to still love Kira...
"What do we name our child if the gender is a girl?" Jaceline stared at the fragile yet beautiful being in her stomach and smiled.
"Good question. But I'm not good with girl names." Kira smiled at her as he ran his hand through his black hair a few times.
"Hmm...ok. Are you good at picking male names?" Jaceline asked as her green eyes brightened at Kira's silver streaked golden eyes.
"Fortunately? Yes. I have been thinking about one if our child's a boy."
Jaceline nodded. "What name did you think of?"
Kira hesitated and clutched his fists. "I was thinking of the name Dimitri. But I was also thinking of a nickname to protect our child."
"That sounds like a really cool name," Jaceline smiled in agreement, "and I can understand why you thought about giving our child a nickname."
"If our child's a boy. I would to put his nickname as Pierce." Kira bit his lip and made eye contact with Jaceline.
"Not bad for a nickname. But I've been thinking about...something lately." Jaceline's eyes became anxious to what Kira would think.
Kira noticed and placed his hand over Jaceline's hand and firmly, but gently held it. "Don't worry. I can handle what your ideas are."
Jaceline nervously sighed and made her eyes lock onto Kira's eyes. "Question; do you still hold a grudge against Alue?"
Kira didn't expect Jaceline to ask such a thing. "The grudge is wearing off but, why?"
"I was thinking if we could join her for the protection of our baby."
Kira hesitated, but he recognized that it's not about him. It's about protecting Jaceline and their baby. "Alright. But the problem is trying to find her."
Jaceline nodded. "But we can try, right?" Her green eyes showed a sign of hope as she gently gripped Kira's hand.
"Yeah," Kira went behind Jaceline and wrapped his arms around her, placing his hands on her stomach and nuzzled his face against her hair...At Astoroth's base...
After being injected with the chemical, Kiana couldn't understand why Jokka injected only half of the liquid in her arm. The liquid felt like it was acid. It burned in her bloodstream. She panted from the chemical which started to slowly mutate her bones. She gritted her teeth from the mutation taking over.
'So this is how it feels like...' Kiana tried to take deep calm breaths and stared at the ceiling. 'I guess this is it for me.'
"No." Red refused as he read Kiana's thoughts. "You won't turn into a monster."
'Too late, Red,' Kiana locked her eyes on Red and Jules. 'If I turn into a killer machine. Kill me before I kill anyone-'
"We can't do that!" Jules' eyes widened with shock after he read Kiana's thoughts. "Can I tell you something?"
Kiana forced a smile from the pain she was experiencing. "Y-yeah."
"I am hoping that this chemical can be reversed, because I don't want to kill you. Because... I've had feelings for you since we were fifteen." Jules smiled at Kiana.
Kiana was shocked by this. But she didn't dare show it. "And, I've always liked a certain knucklehead who made cheesy jokes like you, Jules." she made a stiff chuckle and then yelled in pain.
Red didn't want to see Kiana suffering. He remembered that he has heard about the chemical when Sasha told him about it. He remembered the images of how people, hybrid or human; how it physically affected them. The humans died in minutes. The hybrids, however; do survive from the chemical. It just changes them to simple massacre machines.
Red didn't want this for Kiana. She's like a baby sister to him.
Since the moment Kiana brought up the idea to kill her stabbed his heart. He knows that Jules won't handle this situation very easily.
There is no reverse for this chemical... What Red, Jules, and Sasha will go through will affect them mentally and emotionally...
