The 275th Hunger Games

~The Games-Days One, Two, and Three~

Serena Hemmings - District One

I got some good things from the Cornucopia. I got my choice of weapon, a bow and some arrows, a sleeping bag, a good amount of food, a full water bottle, a jacket, and a blanket. Yesterday, the first day of the Games, I got my things and then entered the forest. I climbed a big tree and slept there. Now I'm walking and trying to find a better spot.

I see North and Sydney from District Nine walking in my direction all of a sudden. I don't know if I should approach them or run away. I decide to go up to them, since during training we did a station together and we were talking to each other. I start walking towards them. I soon reach them. They both startle and stop walking. North whips out a knife.

"Don't worry I won't hurt you. I want to be allies," I tell them.

They look at each other. "Can we talk about it first?" Sydney asks. "Yeah of course," I reply. Sydney smiles as she and North walk a little and begin whispering.

I hope they say yes. I don't want to be alone in the whole Games, even though I could do it, and North and Sydney know a lot of things, and they're nice. Well Sydney is, and so is North but she's also very tough. They would be good allies.

They soon come back. "We've decided that we can be allies," North informs me as Sydney smiles. "Okay great! I can hunt and get meals, so no need to worry about that. I think we make a pretty good team, since North, you're good with a knife, and Sydney, you can make fishhooks," I say, smiling as well. "Oh I can also make shelters," Sydney pipes up. I nod.

"I say we find a good place, set up our things, and see what we all have," suggests North. Sydney and I agree. We spend the next little while walking around to find a good spot, me in the front with my bow and arrow ready to either get an animal or kill someone, Sydney in the middle looking every way for anyone, and North in the back with her knife.

I think North and I are stronger than Sydney, well not stronger but we're better with weapons. Although Sydney can make shelters, and that's pretty useful. Sydney also seems really nice and loyal. I think we make a good team; we all begin something to the alliance. Although, I think we would benefit from having one or two more people in our alliance because then there's more of us and there's different skills that everyone can do. I'll suggests this idea to Sydney and North later.

After a while later, we find a good spot. There's a nice tree, and we have some space, plus there are branches and leaves hiding us, so we also have some shade and we're harder to find. We first set up. We lay out all our supplies. I have my bow and arrow, a sleeping bag, some food, a water bottle, a jacket, and a blanket. North has a jacket, socks, an empty bottle, some food, and a spile which will be very useful to get water. And Sydney has a sleeping bag, night vision goggles, a rope, some plastic, and fishing gear.

"I'd say we have a pretty good stash," Sydney says. "Yeah, I think we should take turns using the items," North says. "Yeah, like tonight two people can use the sleeping bags and then we can swap. And same with the goggles and warm clothes," I say.

We spend the rest of the day doing things and planning our strategy. I hunt and get a lot of meat, such as turkey, goose, and rabbit. Sydney collects berries, roots, and nuts (apparently she also knows what's edible and what's not)! North also gets food, she hunts with me using her knife. We have a lot of food at the end of the day.

That night, there's only one death, it's Ruby Gindles from District Three.

Maude Cravis - District Four

"Hey guys, do we want anything else with the meat?" Princess asks us.

I formed an alliance with Jacklyn from my District, and Princess from District Two. We have a good team going on. Princess can use a knife, Jacklyn can fish, and I can get berries and plants and I know what's edible.

"I can get some berries for us," I say, answering Princess's question. I walk a little and find a whole patch of red berries that we eat back home. I take some and bring them back to our spot. Princess brings the meat over and we cook it over the small fire Jacklyn starts. We eat our food while we talk about the plan for the day.

There was one death yesterday, it was Ruby Gindles. Addelyn, Alanna, and Ivia died the first day in the bloodbath.

Twenty people are left. "Let's move to a better spot," Jacklyn suggests when we finish eating. Princess and I agree. The first day we just dropped our stuff in a random spot and stayed there overnight. I pick up my pack and we begin walking.

Jacklyn is in the front, Princess in the middle, and me in the back. We decide to set up in a space outside of the forest. There's rocks and grass and pebbles and it's really nice. It's also right by the big lake, so we can get water that way. We sort our things out and then we all agree to get some more food.

Princess heads deep into the forest to hunt with her knife to get some meat. Jacklyn gets the fishing supplies to go and fish in the lake. I go into the forest with Princess to collect some berries, roots, nuts, and greens. I get quite a bit so we have a lot. I come back with the stuff, sort them out, and tuck everything in containers. Princess and Jacklyn soon arrive back with their stuff. They both have a good amount. We put their stuff away and then move on.

Blossom Rowe - District Ten

"Jasmine, let's head this way," I say.

Jasmine Brevar from District Eight and I decided to be allies. I like her, she's funny, sweet, and kinda sarcastic, which I didn't expect. Her strength is knot tying. Right now, we're walking around and exploring the arena, very carefully of course. We walk across a big field.

"Blossom, look," Jasmine tells me. I look up to see Tenlie and Sky walking in our direction. I gasp. "What do we do?" I ask. "Just keep walking and don't say anything," she says. So that's what we do. But when we reach them, both of us stop walking and turn to each other.

"Don't worry we won't hurt you," Jasmine says. "Instead of killing each other, why don't we form an alliance," I say, an idea forming in my head. Tenlie and Sky look at each other in shock and Jasmine turns to me with her mouth wide open. I shrug my shoulders. I don't really know what I was thinking. I guess a big team of four is better than two teams of two. Also Tenlie and Sky seem good allies.

Tenlie and Sky begin whispering to each other. Jasmine and I stand there, waiting for them to give us an answer.

"We've decided that," Sky starts, glancing at Tenlie, who nods. "We can be allies," she finishes. I smile and nod and so does Blossom. We begin walking together and talking about our plan.
