Jacklyn Eversea - District Four
"Twelve people dead," Maude answers me. "Guys, we can do this," I tell Princess and Maude. "I know, we've been doing so well; we can hang on a little longer. All we have to do is get in the top six. Eight more people have to die, or doesn't have to be us," Princess agrees.
I really think my allies and I can do it. Maude and Princess are really nice, and I think we can do it together.
"I'll get us dinner," Princess says. "No, let's all get dinner. We've been getting dinner a good way. I fish, you get meat, and Maude gets berries, nuts, and greens," I say. Princess and Maude nod.
I grab the fishing gear and head out to the lake. I get some fish and then come back. Princess has some meat and Maude has the other stuff. We has fish and greens for supper. After we eat, Princess tells us that she's going to go into the forest to get some more meat for us so she doesn't have to hunt tomorrow. Maude and I nod.
While Princess is out, I organize our things a little better and Maude helps. We also hear a cannon that worries us Princess died, but right then we see Princess walking back.
"Hey guys, look what I go-," she stops talking when we hear footprints from behind her.
"Hide!!" I yell-whisper. Maude and I duck behind on tree, Princess jumps behind another. I peek out the slightest and see Alora and North. Huh, I didn't know they were in an alliance together.
We hear them walk away. "I'll go check if they're gone." Suggests Princess after a bit. She grabs a flashlight and walks into the forest. Maude and I stand up and watch her. After a few minutes, we walk into the forest as well to make sure Princess is okay.
Suddenly, there's a loud cry that echoes throughout the whole forest. Maude and I look at each other, our eyes huge and our jaws dropped. We sprint along the path side by side. We see a silhouette in the distance of someone laying on the ground. We run even faster to it. When we get closer, we see that's it's the last person I ever wanted it to be.
Princess.
She's on her stomach, with a knife in her back. She's still, not moving anything. I begin crying and so does Maude. I drop to my knees and touch her back. We roll her over. Her eyes are shut, and her arms are stiff by her waist. "She's dead." Someone says.
Maude and I both look up to see Alora and North standing there. "Screw you." I say angrily. North and Alora smile evilly and then run away.
Maude and I ignore them, she drops to her knees as well and hugs me. We just sit there, crying, crying so hard when her cannon goes off.
"We should probably head back now," I say after about a half hour. "I'll go in the front, you stay in the back," Maude tells me, and I nod in agreement. So that's what we do. Occasionally I'll turn back around to see if anyone's there. One time I do it, and just as I'm about to turn back around I hear a scream. Coming from not too far away from Maude. And then a head a loud BOOM! Oh, no, no, no. I run as fast as I can to her and see her fall over onto her face. When I get there, I see the knife in her back. Just like Princess.
I sink to the floor and cry my eyes out. I can't believe they're both gone. Just this morning we were talking about how we could survive and make it out together, and now they're both dead? It's not fair. None of this is fair. I'm forced to leave my family, go in this terrible arena, watch my allies more importantly my friends die, and somehow make it out alive. It's not fair at all. I think about all of this as I walk back to our spot and then cry some more.

"Where were they?" I ask Sky. "In the forest," she responds. "Okay, let's settle down in a field," I tell her.
I befriended Sky as an ally when she lost her allies from tracker jackers. I was on my own before Sky and I became allies. I was fine on my own, but I like being with someone. Sky's quiet though. She used to be loud and tough, but ever since her allies died, she's been different. I think when that happened it changed her. I mean she did watch Blossom, Tenlie, and Jasmine all get attacked by the wasps. That would've been hard. I don't think Sky's too thrilled to be with me, but she did say yes and where we are.
We soon find the perfect spot and I set up my things. While Sky sets up her things, I think about the Games. The people who have died are Princess, Tenlie, Ruby, Maude, Coral, Ocean, Jasmine, Alanna, Blossom, Ivia, Meadow, Addelyn, Nikita, Serena, and Sydney. That makes 15 people dead and 9 people left. So three more people need to die, because the top six make it out and go onto the big Games. I have a good feeling that both Sky and I can make it.
"What should we do now?" Questions Sky, sitting back. "Well I'm hungry, can we eat?" I ask. "Sure," replies Sky. I turn around and reach into my pack. I pull out some crackers, berries, and nuts. We sit there and snack on our food. We see a figure in the distance. They begin walking towards us with a big back on their back. As they come closer, we see that it's Jacklyn from District Four.
"Hi. Can I join you guys?" She asks us quietly. I glance at Sky, who's lying down. She nods. "Yeah, sure," I tell Jacklyn. She smiles and says thanks, then sits down across from me and Sky. "So what's your story?" I ask Jacklyn.
She goes onto explain how she was in an alliance with Maude from her district and Princess from District Two (Sky's District). And that they were doing great but then Alora and North stabbed Maude and Princess and now she's here. "Wow. That sucks, I feel bad," I tell her sympathetically. She nods. "Well the same thing happened to Sky. Kind of," I say. "Oh really? What happened?" Questions Jacklyn.
Sky tells her about her allies and the tracker jacker nest and how they died and how Sky was really upset. "But then Holly helped me and I'm so grateful she did that," Sky says at the end. I smile to myself. I didn't know me helping her meant a lot to her. "Wow, that would be really hard," Jacklyn says to Sky. Sky nods and looks down. "But like I said Holly took care of me and helped me. She was so nice to me and we'll do the same for you," she tells Jacklyn.
Jacklyn smiles. "Thank you. I can fish and get us fish for meals. I have all the gear," she tells us. "That would be great," I say. "Yeah, we've been eating the food from our packs and we're almost out," Sky adds. "Want me to go right now?" Asks Jacklyn. "Sure." We reply. Jacklyn grabs her gear and heads over to the lake. I search through my pack and find some other food we can eat with the fish. Jacklyn soon comes back, and we cook the fish over a small fire. We eat it and the other food I found.
"The fish is good," I inform Jacklyn. "Yeah," she says. "I tell can get it every day," she adds. "You don't have to do that," I say. "No it's no trouble for me," Jacklyn says. "Okay," I smile.
