Jordan Kervers - District Twelve

"Jordan! Sawyer! Dinner!" Yells the escort, Naima Patterson.

I get off my bed and walk down into the main area. Right now we're on the train to the Capitol. My fellow tribute, Sawyer, and I sit down at the table. So does Naima and our mentor Olympia. For dinner there is thick red soup, warm rolls, platters of cheese, plates of vegetables, and some strange orange dip. I put everything but that on my plate.

"Big day tomorrow boys!" Exclaims Naima. "We arrive at the Capitol!" Sawyer and I look at each other. I'm not looking forward to arriving at the Capitol.

We eat in silence until Naima gets up and leaves and Olympia begins talking. "How old are you guys?" She asks. "I'm fifteen," Sawyer answers. "I'm sixteen," I say. Olympia nods.

After supper, an Avox brings warm chocolate and fruit for dessert. We eat and then I head back to my room when we're done. I sit down. I already miss home, but I'm going to fight hard to stay alive. I know a lot of useful things.

Naima soon calls us down again to watch the recap of the reapings. We sit down in the living room. First up, District One, then District Two and so on. I watch Sawyer and I begin drawn last. Naima turns off the television and walks off.

"A lot of older people this year," Olympia comments, and Sawyer and I nod.

After a few more minutes, everyone heads to sleep. I lay in bed and it takes a while to fall asleep, but when I wake up I feel pretty good and well rested. Well, until Naima comes in and reminds me that we're going to be arriving at the Capitol soon. I still don't want to but I get out of bed and get ready.

Theo Franklin - District Six

"Hi Theo. My name is Autumn and I'll be your stylist," the woman in front of me says. "Hi," I say back quietly.

This whole thing has been really hard for me. Being twelve, it sucks when you get reaped. It's your first year. What makes me be reaped even worse is my sister, Cove, was chosen as the female tribute for District Six for the girls' game. She survived though, and is moving onto the big Games. My parents really did not want me to be picked because they could lose both of us. But if I make it, Cove and I can stick together and maybe one of us can make it back home.

Autumn continues on, talking about how her and her partner, Rina, who is my fellow tribute Hudson's stylist, want to dress us for the ceremonies. I half listen and half think about Cove and my family.

"Does that sound good?" Autumn asks after a while. I snap out of my thoughts. "Oh...um...yeah," I answer. "Okay then, let's get started!" Autumn exclaims happily. I nod.

About an hour later, I'm dressed in silver pants and a silver jacket, with a black shirt underneath. My hair is slicked back and on my feet and black shoes. The hair gel feels a little weird but I leave it.

A little bit later, Hudson and I are standing on our chariot. Our horses are golden blonde. We soon lurch forward and begin to ride in. I hear music, fireworks light up the sky, and the people in the stands are screaming and cheering.

I look around at the other chariots, most of the tributes are wearing suits in black, white, grey, or even some metallics. The chariots form a semi-circle in front of the mansion. The president steps out and begins talking and then we ride back.

"You looked amazing!" The escort Arielle Riddle tells us as we step off. We nod and say thanks.

Finn Orielly - District Nine

When we arrive at the Training Center after the Opening Ceremonies, the escort, Annalise Aleysa leads us to the ninth floor (naturally, since we're from District Nine) and gives us tour of our floor.

My fellow tribute Roger and I head to our rooms and stay there until Annalise calls us down to watch the recap of the ceremonies. "You guys looked awesome!!" Exclaims Annalise. We watch the rest of the ceremonies.

"What are your weapons?" One of our mentors, Travis, asks us as Annalise shut off the television. "Mine is a trident," I respond. "I can use a knife," Roger tells them. Our other mentor, Zaylee, nods.

"In training, visit the most stations as possible. Don't ignore the survival stations, they will help you a lot," Travis says. "Don't waste time visiting the stations you can already do. Go to the ones you don't know so you can learn a lot. That's what helped me, how much thing I knew," Zaylee adds. Roger and I nod. They're throwing a lot of tips at us at once, but I want to know what to do.

"You can save your skills for your private sessions or do them during training. It's up to you. I would advise saving them for private sessions though," says Travis. We nod again. "I can also run fast," I add. "That's good, make sure to use it," Zaylee says.

With all the good tips they're giving us, I feel ready for training.
