short story: sometimes, all you can do is leave things hanging, even if a part of you wishes for things to continue. time can only tell.
an au wherein seokjin and byulyi might've been already crossing the line, but none of them were willing to be open about it. but eventually, something's going to.
just do enjoy the short story ~
genre will be: slice of life, subtle romance, nothing too fluffy and exaggerated this time.~

"let go, or i'll call the cops!"
"arasso, stop being dramatic!"
the waiting room was filled with bickering, as yongsun sighs in defeat, muttering. "it's even messier with jin being here." she lowers her bag down the couch, seeing byulyi and seokjin already fighting each other at the very morning before the rehearsals start.
"noona, byulyi started it." seokjin retorted, pointing at the culprit who was casually lying on the couch in her training pants and large shirt. "no one asked, nobody cares." byulyi bit back, eyes fixated on her phone.
this has always been the scene ever since the years progresses for them.
the '92 had always been a strong group that's always with each other during awards shows, but these days, mamamoo and bangtan were the most active out of it.
everybody can assume that the two have drifted apart due to the awkward air around them whenever a camera is near them, but byulyi would always prove it otherwise when her smile reaches up to her eyes when his group keeps on breaking and reaching new milestone for their industry.
it's safe to assume that it's a principle of respect and admiration for both groups, and the two definitely is in awe of each other's working ethics. but when it comes to friendship, the seniority never really mattered.
or to some who can see them, it was as if the two members from separate groups never had to lift a finger out of all their achievements with how fun they always seem to be when together.
everybody respected the two, after all. they can see how they can be so amazing yet down-to-earth, willingly teaching others whenever their companies are asked. some might've been rooting for them to date secretly, seeing how they look so close with each other. and some? they just simply are enjoying the two's unbreakable bond even if it looks intimidating for other people.
and it went on like that, continuously.
it was perfect.
but somehow, even if unnoticed for the majority, some are just too keen to notice the subtle moments.
one moment includes leedo.
byulyi had started getting close with oneus ever since her radio show, and it feels like a breath of fresh air for her to finally be in ease with her juniors. but sometimes, whenever she bonds with them, leedo would somehow knock some jokes towards her.
"what?"
byulyi whispers softly, deboning the chicken in her mouth while watching leedo chuckling after drinking some beer. "noona." he started, letting go of his phone. "mm, speak." byulyi rose her brow, comfortaby letting the younger friend finish his beer before laughing.
"my mom..." he started, seeing the senior gesture him to continue. "she keeps asking me if we're dating."
byulyi was almost about to swallow the bone out of surprise, coughing out loud as she laughs while taking the piece of bone out from her mouth, asking. "what!?"
