"huh?"

the king looks over seokjin as soon as the scroll was presented, frowning slowly before whispering. "... this is... such a random remark coming from you, lord kim."

he saw the leader gulp softly, containing his hands behind his back before stiffly nodding, looking away from his eyes, as he whispers.

"that is an essential law to help the royal ladies avoid drunken accidents."

"... a law that punishes individuals who distributes liquor during daylight..." the king reads through, thoroughly confused as he looks up to see his cheeks red.

"have you... perhaps, encountered this?" the king asks him, only to blink numerous times when he saw seokjin cough awkwardly, turning away from him to clear his throat, turning his whole body towards the door instead of the king... facing his back towards him.

"no."

"then why-"

"no, why would i? that is such a remarkable statement, your highness." he defensively replied, not sparing a glance as he eyes the door.

i have never realized that the royal door has such nice features in it.

nice door.

seokjin inhales heavily.

"well, for you to-"

"please, your highness." seokjin begs in an unusual tone, making the king frown softly and shake his head, whispering. "i have never realized that you had this kind of delicate and elaborate side of you." he purses his lips, adding. "well, this law makes sense, i will seal it."

through-out the sealing, the royal highness could only frown at his weird behavior, not even looking at him.

what does the door have that he's looking too good at it?

the king shook his head.

"he's already adapting my daughter's antics, and it's very scary." he pushes the seal over the scroll.

"careful, careful-"

hyojung whispers, wrapping the bandage in byulyi's waist as the second princess grunted softly, watching her court maid tightening the bandage on her waist. "my head hurts more than my wound... what is happening?" byulyi speaks in disbelief, as hyojung grins.

"you have slept so early last night, princess. it must've been that." hyojung asks her, making byulyi sigh. "really?"

"you never listen to anyone, my lady." hyojung trails-off, pinning the bandage down as byulyi giggled. "are you mad?"

"aniya.. i'm beyond worried..." hyojung murmurs, pursing her lips. "it felt like my life was taken out of me as soon as i saw the blood in your dress..." she pulls away from byulyi as soon as she had the time to discuss it with her, only to see her eyes softening in reply. "you need to take good care of your body if you want to fight them, princess..."

she receives a small smile from byulyi, nodding slowly as she pats hyojung's head. "haven't i told you..."

hyojung curiously peers on her.

"to leave the palace before this all starts?" byulyi whispers, earning a scoff from hyojung, now ribboning her dress while shaking her head. "no, i'm not leaving until everything gets resolved."

"you do know that you are also in danger."

hyojung nodded nonchalantly, flattening the ribbon on her chest before looking up at her. "you are, too."
