wherein; byulyi, the rookie cop was forced to live with the notorious serial killer seokjin just because she's been abandoned by her team. hero x villain au

genre; slight comedy, toxic romance, mentions of blood.

author's note: i've currently been doing things in my own pace these days, and i figured that i've been pressuring myself too much to catch up with everything that it's as well including the way i write stories that i no longer enjoy my past few updates.

but hey, i'm now learning to write things on my own accord again, finding my first purpose back on it again :) enjoy this little spin-off for a moment on something whole.... hehe, enjoy?

"wah."

byulyi hisses softly while tip-toeing secretly back into the one of the most dangerous- hidden space within' korea, still in wonders on why she kept on doing this to save a face but... she has no choice.

when she was a rookie cop eight months ago, her first mission was to be the lead in the searching operation for the infamous serial killer known as kim seokjin- the one that has clear and big records of killing a pattern of the government system that has oddly started from the very chief that handled his first killing.

byulyi has still yet to know on why seokjin kept on having a mass killing on that specific chief's team and succeeding allies but- she knew he has a reason.

at first, byulyi had thought that he's a psychotic and narcissistic killer with a powerful range of gang enough to silence the whole justice department but... she had also realized that maybe he has a good reason.

the fact that her initial plan was to lure him and allow the police to take him in was a dumb move, as she recalls.

instead, when the plan failed- she was the one targeted to die.

and stupidly, seokjin had warned her over the first encounter that her team will never treat her the way she would expect.

and the rest had gone into history. 

for short- her own team had blown up her apartment in attempt to kill her off after she had realized that there's a series of... baiting for rookie cops to be killed in the first line of defense and SHE was one of those.

she lived though.

and unfortunately, she was adopted by her first case suspect.

kim seokjin.

as soon as she had lived that life with him while chasing revenge on her team, seokjin had taught her a lot of things that the higher-ups would never do, and she knew the consequences.

as soon as she turns to seokjin's team, she'll be painted as the country's enemy as well.

so she's living in secrecy while the handsome yet scary villain does his job to take everyone off, cooperating with her. she knew she had no help over his known history of everyone in her team but- she's just a little thankful that she's alive even if she has to be spineless.

"mother f-"

she curses, now reaching his apartment's floor while holding on her right arm aggressively, wounded with a sling of knife due to being caught by a previous co-team of hers. and when they met, she knew that he wanted her eliminated.

thankfully, she had escaped- she had used a lot of the things that seokjin had taught her, but now she's bleeding like a faucet opened and she needed to pack this thing-

"... what's that?"

as soon as she grimaces, about to kick the door open with a pained expression, her eyes then met seokjin's, the guy whom was suddenly perplexed with the view in front of him, almost dropping the wine bottle in his hand.
