"byulyi."
seokjin whispers softly, watching the second princess emptily staring as soon as he entered the room, hours passing by after the judgment happened.
"maybe it is my fault..." byulyi whispers emptily, staring into nowhere.
seokjin remained silent.
"i should've listened when they told me that i won't win over them." she breathed heavily, murmuring.
"i just lost half of my life." she can feel her tears dwelling once more, before her eyes landed towards seokjin.
"why... did you remained adamant?" byulyi whispers, resentment dripping from her voice as seokjin clears his throat, not answering.
"you've promised me that you'll do anything to keep hyojung alive..." she clenched her jaw, murmuring. "why didn't you...?" she sniffs, gulping, only to hear him hesitantly whispering.
"we have no evidence that it is not hyojung..."
byulyi hisses over his nonchalant reply, as if he had never been with hyojung for such a long time, opening her mouth to speak.
"you- never understand!" byulyi yelled, about to stand up and leave the room, grasping on her dress tight as she whispers. "if this what they are planning to do, then they are succeeding in ruining our ties."
seokjin then motioned namjoon and taehyung to leave them, telling them. "guard the post, i can handle this." he whispers, as the two bows down, leaving the two inside the room.
byulyi sighs in defeat, whispering. "there is nothing left to talk about, kim!" she yelled, letting the remaining people outside hear them.
taehyung sighs softly, trying his hard not to gulp over the conversation, sparing a glance over namjoon who seems to be at ease, hearing the argument getting louder in the room.
"let's leave the two." taehyung murmured over namjoon, who was raising his brow as he looks at taehyung.
"let them have their privacy, they are grieving over hyojung." he tells him, as namjoon nodded slowly. "i understand." he can still hear the argument getting louder in the room, as taehyung brought everyone to leave the post, motioning them to not allow this argument to be reported anywhere else.
"this is your fault, seokjin!" byulyi yanks his arm while they are inside the room, pushing him away.
"princess-" seokjin whispers, as byulyi slams the door open, about to leave.
then she pauses.
gulping softly, byulyi turns back around, facing seokjin, as she mouthed.
they left.
she saw him sigh in relief, nodding in reply as he decided to shut the door close, pulling her arm gently as byulyi confusingly whispers. "what is happening, why won't you let them hear what you'll be saying?" she asks him softly, as seokjin inhales.
"don't say a word, just stay for a moment." seokjin whispers, confusing the princess.
"what-"
then she freezes after he speaks.
"kim namjoon is part of jung's ally." seokjin whispers cautiously, holding her arm as byulyi's eyes went wide, murmuring. "... how?"
"just don't trust anyone else starting now, and listen to me carefully." seokjin tells her.
byulyi was left in confusion.
she feels upset, she wanted to scream her heart out for her grief over hyojung. but she wasn't sure why seokjin told her earlier to just stay still and let them believe that they are currently falling apart because of hyojung's death, telling her to just trust him.
