four: i love you too

seokjin stares into an empty space.

with his air-ways blocked due to phlegm, he surely couldn't prioritize anything else except for himself.

he has been overworked for days due to the height of their popularity and schedules, and with him being honest- he didn't had much of a time now to entertain byulyi that guilt was shooting right through his head. he'd take her from work towards home- and most of the time, they weren't able to even eat a proper meal together.

he knew it well.

it has been a few weeks of their relationship being stagnant to persuasion- and it was doing so well, he knew where it was all headed to at that time. but due to his inconsistent view of the way he pursues her, he thinks that it's all going downwards.

but in contrary to his guilt of possibly ignoring the time with her, byulyi had the opposite view-

he's sick.

he wasn't speaking any ounces of his sickness to the female idol, but she could notice how raspy his voice had became for days, and how watery his eyes were, even red. at the many times she told him to just rest at home rather than taking her home, he'd make his way out to just even catch a glimpse of her.

to him, it's a rude attempt of spending a time with her, wishing he could be there for more than an hour. but to byulyi, it's more of an exerted effort that she never asked for, but is flattered to receive.

while waiting for byulyi down the company even if she told him to head home, he saw the woman quickly tip-toeing with her little steps down the cafe- making him smirk softly at her cuteness before letting out another disturbed cough, itching from his throat as he stressfully pulled up his mask.

now he heard the door clicking open, byulyi then spots him in the driver's seat, making her grin. "how long will you keep up with the act?" she asks him, hopping into the seat next to him as he murmurs. "what do you mean? i'm no-" he coughs softly, turning away from her that made her chuckle- watching him out of amusement.

"not acting." he finishes his sentence, about to whip his phone out to search for a restaurant, only for byulyi to pause- look over him, and whisper. "what's that?"

"where should we head to eat today?"

"eoh?"

was that a sense of a sarcastic question since it has been forever since they've eaten together due to his busy schedules that he ends up only taking her home and bringing her foods to eat alone?

he couldn't help but feel sunken due to her ambiguous tone, making him stiff as byulyi then chuckles- whispering. "... can we just head home?"

doomed.

he's doomed- every single progress was doomed.

he couldn't help but feel his heart sinking at the very thought of her loosing the interest with how he's acting up, about to apologize for the inconsistent time for her, until he heard her.

"what do you think about fish-braised soup? it's a little rainy." she murmurs, showing her phone's application, making him blink out of surprise. "huh?"
