bonus chapter four; goodbye, my sweet and silent reign.

genre: comedy CRACK, fluff, and romance.

author's note: while doing the chapters of enthronement and wedding, i've realized that there's too much to unfold- and that rushing it would look meh, and really- really unsatisfying. so, i've decided to split the chapters into two.

this chapter will be the happenings after seokjin's enthronement, with a couple of backstory before the very day of their wedding and wedding night on the next one.

after this and for the next chapter, my hiatus will be definitely back- since i'm getting busier... and busier again even if i want to stay for a while. so, for the mean time- enjoy this one and the next one that's still getting polished, okay?

i don't know when i'll be able to update the next chapter.. but it will be sooner! ♡

"what the."

byulyi whispers softly, watching through the doors far behind the internal court with joohyun with her arms crossed- seeing her father sobbing out loud, hugging seokjin.

"he has been like that since last night." joohyun trails-off, forbidding a chuckle to escape her lips as they've watched him cry his heart out while hugging the newly-enthroned highness of joseon, patting seokjin's back repeatedly, chanting numerous words that the siblings couldn't even decipher.

to everyone's surprise, byulyi had finally recovered from her sickness drawn last night, and was able to witness the enthronement ceremony of seokjin earlier that luckily thrived without any interruption, as joseon had finally welcome the new generation of leader after her father's reign for years under the great grand queen's control.

majority of the citizens were celebrating, even if there are existing opinions and opposition against the reformation that was bound to be implemented after the assignment of the new government.

but it will still ensue, for the kingdom had already knew where everything was lacking from the previous reign; freedom and equal rights.

but here they are, instead of moving on with the new king's celebration, he's basically trapped inside the internal court being reminded constantly of byulyi's father- who had now stepped down for the new regency.

"why does he kept crying when it's his decision to pass the throne..?" byulyi whispers with a small frown, almost grimacing, as joohyun giggles, tilting her head to watch over the scene. "i don't know, but he's basically cherishing the highness as his son."

"clearly." byulyi whispers, frowning.

"it even seems like i am the daughter-in-law that's not about to get married tomorrow with those tears, like i am invisible." byulyi scoffs playfully, shaking her head as joohyun lets out a loud laugh, grabbing byulyi's arm.

"let us just wait for the two upon the dining hall for the celebration, we are not one to interfere in their sentimental moment."

"i do agree, since we have been waiting for so long." byulyi chuckles, now gripping on her skirt to walk into the hallways with her newly-wedded sister from last month, celebration already passing by.

"now," byulyi whispers.

"mm."

"how is your married life with chef lee?" byulyi asks, turning to joohyun playfully, seeing the first princess' smile suddenly appearing, whispering. "it is very delighting to no longer hide from our father's premises, i am enjoying."
