"have you been well?"

byulyi softly whispers, gently kneeling down the portrait of the queen infront of her to pay her respect, busily tracing the features of her late mother within' her eyes as soon as she sat, whispering.

the palace have seeked its peace, removing the tension and feud built around every clan, rightfully placing everyone in their own areas.

it has been a few days after the restoration of the government as well, and it has been going well for everyone.

"i haven't been able to visit you during the past few months, the palace have drastically changed."

byulyi continuously tells her, shifting her legs like a child.

"the highness have told me that you've always wanted to defeat the great grand queen... i guess you have sent me as a little devil to finish your work." she chuckles lightly, eyes fondly eyeing the only portrait of her mother, her smile slowly faltering.

she lets the silence sit in between them, tilting her head to realize how their features matched a lot.

she never knew how beautiful she was, but she'll always know the reason why her father had chosen her mother as his greatest love.

just with a glance, one could already fall in love.

and if the highness would talk about the attributes that her mother have done, she would certainly realize why.

"i long for you a little more during my happiness." she confesses, adorably pursing her lips as she sighs, closing her eyes.

oddly, she can feel the warmth of the atmosphere around her despite the loneliness lingering a little, making her giggle softly, as if her mother is around the corner to comfort her.

maybe that's enough for her today.

opening her eyes once more, she then felt a presence near the gates of the hall, turning around a little to catch a glimpse of who it is, making her grin softly.

she meets seokjin's eyes immediately, seeing him standing on the gate, waiting for her to finish her ritual as she mumbled.

"how long have you been there?"

"just a little long, i have figured that you wanted silence since it was with your mother."

byulyi smiles warmly, nodding in acknowledgement before telling him.

"i was about to ask for your visit today, but it seems like you were busy with the king, so i have went alone."

she watches him enter the hall, paying his own respect to her mother, lighting the incense sticks before bowing down, now sitting beside byulyi, eyeing the portrait.

byulyi observed him a little, tilting her head.

"you seem tongue-tied."

seokjin chuckles softly, looking at byulyi, telling her. "the king had never lied when he told me that you are an exact copy of the queen."

she snickers, nodding in reply. "am i?"

"mm."

byulyi lets out a snort, shaking her head before mumbling. "i haven't been able to visit her for awhile eversince the chaos had broken, but now i can pay her my daily visit once more, i'm happy with that."

seokjin smiles out of acknowledgement, glad for her.

byulyi then mumbles, telling him.

"you haven't told me a piece of your history, except for losing them, seokjin." she recalls, looking over seokjin as he blinks in reply, smirking softly.
