The surrounding lands were getting worse with more and more of Third Reich's recruits being sent out to capture those who still stood in his way.A full forty eight hours has passed, and the states who were sent to retrieve Florida returned a day prior with bad news. They stated that they had witnessed Third Reich feed his hounds with his living body.
Texas reported this incident to the leader back in their homeland. The leader wasn't happy, but he still demanded for the missions to continue. He refused to let the Nazi take over the world, and if his states couldn't do it, then he would have to do it himself if he has too.
A funeral was held shortly after with many of the states crying. The countries and organizations in the crowd also mourned over his death (even though they didn't know him) with each having different reactions. Most were saddened because memories of loved ones dying replayed in their heads.
Spain stood in front of the grave and simply stared down at it without moving a single muscle. He had a small flashback of him watching the horrifying scene of Florida being tortured unfold before him.
FBI walked up beside him and crouched, glancing at the grave.
"Are you okay, Spain?" He turned his head to look at him.
"...I could have done something, FBI." Spain began to shake. He turned toward his friend, tears running down his face. "I could have saved him! I could have prevented his torture, but I did nothing but watch everything happen!"
The country leaned forward into FBI's shoulder and sobbed. He repeated the phrases "I could have done something!" and "I'm such an idiot!"
FBI rubbed his back in circles and sighed, hugging him.
"At least he is out of this hellish nightmare, right? He won't be dealing with any of the pain and suffering that we are enduring right now."
Spain pulled away with a sniff as his frown formed into a small smile. He nodded, turning his attention back at the gravestone.
"I guess so."
Rising up onto their feet, the men dusted themselves off and laid flowers down upon the grave, afterwards paying their respects before leaving.
The men walked together to their little tents, which were set up by the states. They were side by side since they wanted to stay close to each other. Besides, they wanted to get to know each other a lot better. After all, they didn't have much time while working for Reich.
"Get some rest, Spain." FBI said.
The Spanish country nodded. "You too."
Although it was almost twelve in the afternoon, they needed some rest after Texas made them do more tests and exercises to prove they are trustworthy.
Mostly everybody at the camp was currently doing something, for example scouting out the area for any enemies. However, some were just getting some rest after working so hard for the last few days nonstop.
The countries and organizations gathered up after a couple hours for a meeting. They discussed future plans on how to defeat Third Reich. They also went further and spoke about other plans, such as how they were going to get their hands on the cursed chest and how they were going to get everybody's memories back.
"We have a bigger chance at taking him out by letting the souls out of the chest first then attacking right away because they would be caught off guard." Weimar explained.
East Germany nodded. "I will have to agree with him. Attacking first will simply let Reich know that we are here, and he would immediately go protect the chest."
UN, EU, ASEAN, and FBI all whispered to one another until they reached a final decision.
"Alright, we have decided that the first part of the plan is to get to the chest and release the souls trapped within. What is next?" EU asked.
There was silence in the group for a little bit. They thought of the next phase of the plan.
"This can go in one of two ways." Spain cleared his throat. "One, Third Reich gets taken away and afterwards we deal with our brainwashed friends, or the souls get absorbed-or something else happens to them-then we deal with him and our brainwashed friends."
"Wait." Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth said. "There is a chance he can absorb the souls or overpower them somehow?"
FBI nodded. "Unfortunately, yes. It really depends if his body can take it though. He already has quite a few souls absorbed. If he takes in too many, he may just lose control of his body. However, if he can still take some, then he may become powerful enough that he can also become unstoppable."
"Well, let us hope that he does not do that." Prussia said.
"Yes, we do not want to deal with such a powerful beast." Swedish Empire said.
"I have an idea!" New Zealand exclaimed/whispered as to not draw any state into the conversation.
"What is your idea, Kiwi?" Spain asked.
"I was thinking, maybe the next part of the plan can be-"
New Zealand was interrupted by the sound of running footsteps coming their way.
They all turned toward the direction they heard the footsteps from and prepared themselves for a fight.
The closer it got, the more afraid they became, but they wouldn't let fear get the best of them. Whatever was coming toward them sounded rather frightening, telling by the heavy footsteps.
However, as soon as they came into sight, the group lowered their weapons. They were all surprised to see who they were. Some even gasped.
The country holding the person in his arms stopped at the sight of his friends.
"(Y/N)? Germany?" UN smiled in delight.
ASEAN looked at you, then your stomach. His eyes widened as he realized why Germany was carrying you.
"(Y/N), are you...?" He couldn't complete his question. He was rather excited.
You nodded. "I am, and I can really use some water and food right now."
