Germany didn't want to be anywhere near you, and neither did he want to speak to you after what you had said to him. However, a feeling in his gut told him to approach your bedside and stay there until you woke up. A mix of emotions filled his mind: shyness, slight happiness, and anger. He stood staring at the space in front of him for minutes, stuck within his flowing thoughts, but eventually he came back into reality, blinking and rubbing his eyes. His legs took him where they wanted to go, and they were heading towards you.He lowered himself onto his knees beside the bed and placed his arms on the white sheets next to your body. He looked away from you, leaning forward and resting his cheek on his arms. He gazed at your hand, not once taking his eyes off it. He was again lost in his thoughts, wondering about why you had betrayed him and joined the enemy side without you telling him. Somewhere in his mind though, he believed that there was a chance that what you said to him was a complete and utter lie. His brother forced you to say it, he just knew it, but the more it was brought up, the less he thought about that being a possibility.
Your words and tone of voice were convincing, and the gestures you made too. Germany didn't know what to think of it. He wanted to believe it was all a trick, lies and gulling to get him to think that you were with the enemy. On the other hand, your seriousness almost already fully convinced him into thinking so. His brain was a mess; his head was beginning to hurt. He needed to calm down and rest a while, but not until you answered a few of his questions.
Your hand twitches, alarming the German. He raised his head up slowly and darted his nonexistent pupils over to it. Your hand moved even more as your eyes fluttered open. You lifted your arms up, stretching your limbs out. You looked to the side, making eye contact with Germany. You jumped, almost screaming at his presence, but he covered your mouth and put a finger over his own. He lowered his hands and put them onto the white sheet.
"G-Germany?" You glanced at your surroundings. "Where are we? Why are we here? Why are you he—"
"Did you mean it?"
You tilted your head. "What?"
"Did you mean what you said? About… leaving me for him? Were you actually serious when you—"
You frowned and looked down at the ring on your finger. "Sadly, I was forced to get married to him... and say the things I said to you. I didn't mean it, the harmful words… None of those words meant anything."
Germany shot up and cupped your chin, leaning in and pressing his lips against yours. You kissed until you both pulled away for air.
"Take it off." The German said, taking your hand with the ring on it.
You removed the ring from your finger and tossed it across the room. Germany smiled and sat beside you, wrapping his arms around your waist and bringing you closer to him.
A state pushed the curtain aside and approached the side of your bed holding a clipboard with some papers on them.
"Hello, my name is Vermont." The state introduced herself. "Earlier we took an exam—or ultrasound, as we all call it—of your womb. Your baby seems to be doing alright, but there are some issues."
You and Germany became worried.
"Is it anything serious?" Germany asked.
"No, it's nothing bad thankfully."
You sighed in relief.
"New York and South Dakota found you locked up in a small room. You were tied to a pole and passed out on the floor." Vermont said as she wrote down some things on her clipboard. "Would you mind explaining how and why you were there?"
"Well, I was talking to NATO. I asked if he was doing okay since I witnessed him twitch…" You described the whole situation, from the beginning all the way to the end. Germany heard the whole story, and trust me, he was not happy.
"Thank you. Now, stay here while I get you two some food and water. I can tell that you're both thirsty and hungry. " Vermont giggled.
"Yup!" You smiled brightly.
"Thank you." Germany said, Vermont nodded and waved goodbye before leaving.
…
Third Reich gazed at the empty space below him. The ropes were cut and on the floor; there was no sign of where you had gone.
"It's interesting how my brother, my bride, and the other countries disappear all at the same time when no one is there, Canada." He said, spinning around to face his henchman. "But it is also frustrating. How did they manage to escape when I was certain there was no way of breaking out? Who helped them get out and where are they now?"
Canada watched as the Nazi walked out of the small room.
"You do not sense them here on this human infested earth, do you?" Reich questioned him.
The country shook his head.
"Huh, then the only other place they could be at is our world. The next question is though, how did they get there? For sure they could not have used our portals. My guards would have caught them...unless…"
Canada raised a nonexistent eyebrow.
"Ah, how sneaky of them… there are plenty of more states out there in our world. Texas, Minnesota, and those other states were just the four or five percent of them. There are a lot more of them, and they could have easily taken my soldiers' uniforms and broken in without being detected."
Third Reich grinned.
"Well, we know where we will be going next, right Nada?"
…
NATO leaned against the wall as the states brought in pillows, blankets, food, drinks, and other supplies.
"Thank you for helping us hide from them, North Dakota. If you hadn't taken us back here to our world, then we would have been recaptured." Australia said.
"No problem! It was our leader's orders!" She exclaimed.
"I wouldn't get too comfy, by the way." New Hampshire said. "Reich probably knows by now that you're back here in our world. Sooner or later he'll be coming for us all, so we have to be ready to fight."
"Yes." NATO said, catching everyone's attention. "Along with Canada, Third Reich can find us in an instant. You all thought that Canada was nice and on your side, well he's not."
"What?" Australia was confused. "But he—no…"
"Just like FBI and Spain, Canada was also pretending to be on your side. He tricked (Y/N) into thinking that they were on their way to find humans to help them, but Canada was actually leading her to Third Reich. She was forced to marry him, and now she is trapped in the basement because of me."
"What happened?" North Dakota asked.
NATO described the story once more.
New Hampshire was about to speak, but she suddenly got a radio call. She took it into her hands and raised the volume up.
"Germany and (Y/N) (L/N) are doing fine, I am just bringing them food and water. There are still UN, EU, England, and Fascist Italy out there. Sir Washington ordered us to rescue all of them, so send a few more states out to get them. Be—"
New Hampshire turned it down.
"Wait… they're both here?" ASEAN questioned as he twisted the cap of a water bottle off.
"Yep. Would you like to go see them?"
