Chapter 6

Aqua and Terra were training in the castle while you were in the garden, making flower crowns. Terra heard the doors open and went to go check it out. He saw Xehanort walk in with a boy next to him.

"Hey, Aqua. Can you go grab (Y/N)?" Terra asked.

"Sure," she said. She headed to the garden and saw you making different colored flower crowns.

"Hi, (Y/N). Whatcha making?" she asked as she walked up to you.

"Making flower crowns. This one's for you," you said as you handed her a blue flower crown.

"Aww, thank you. Your father's here so we should go say hi."

"Okay." You picked up your finished flower crowns and headed into the castle.

"Daddy!" you said as you ran to him.

"Hi, sweetheart. Did you have fun?" he said.

"Yep. This is for you." You handed him a red flower crown which gratefully took.

"Thank you. Ready to head home?" he said.

"Yep!" you said. You didn't question the boy who was next to you. You knew that your father sometimes saved people from heartless so this was normal for you. You took his hand and went home to the abandoned castle at Scala ad Caelum. When you arrived, you saw a boy standing by the front door.

"Daddy? Who's that?" you asked. 

"This is your new brother, Vanitas," Xehanort said.

"Cool! Hi, I'm (Y/N). Welcome to Scala ad Caelum." Vanitas didn't say anything but looked at you weirdly.

"Why don't you give him a tour?" Xehanort asked.

"Sure! Come on!" You took Vanitas's hand and showed him around the castle. You showed him the kitchen, your father's study room, everything.

"And this is my room. I get a really cool view of the water," you said. Vanitas didn't say anything, which worried you a little bit.

"Are you okay? You don't talk that much," you said.

"I'm fine," he said bluntly.

"O-okay."

"Sorry. I just don't like talking."

"That's fine. Hey, we should go see what's for dinner. I'm hungry." You took his hand and went to the dining room. After dinner, it was time for bed. You climbed into bed and saw Vanitas come in.

"I'm supposed to spend the night here," he said.

"Okay," you said. He laid down on the spare bed and you laid back down. You soon fell asleep, dreaming of bonding with Vanitas.

"So, that's her?" Vanitas asked.

"Yes. We either need to kill her or bring her into darkness," Xehanort said.

"How are we gonna do that? Her light is really strong. Stronger than that wimp, Ventus."

"Don't worry. I have a plan. All we need to do is expose her to the darkness. Find it deep within her. Then, she'll be pure darkness." Vanitas felt something throbbing in him and felt the urge to protect you. Xehanort dismissed Vanitas and they went to their bedrooms to get some sleep.

"Don't worry, (Y/N). I'll find a way to protect you. I promise," he whispered. He climbed into bed and fell asleep.
