The water trickled down a stream as a young girl walked along it. She always liked to walk along the stream, hearing the calm sounds of both the water and the gentle wind. She heard her name being called by her mother and her sister and ran over to them.

"Quick, get inside! There's a storm coming!" her mother said. The girl quickly hurried inside and they hid in their basement. A lightning bolt hit the ground and a group of fairy-like creatures emerged. The Storm Bringers.

The girl and her family listened carefully as the Storm Bringers searched their house. The girl was curious to see what these creatures were like.

"Elena! What are you doing?!" her mother whispered.

"I wanna see what they're like. They sound so interesting to me," Elena whispered back.

"Don't you remember what happened to father when he met one?" Muki asked. Allow me to explain. You see, Spirits, Fairies, and other mythical creatures had been at war with each other since the beginning of time. Elena and Muki's father was curious about these creatures. One day, he waited for the Storm Bringers to come and when they did, they murdered him without hesitation. He didn't even say anything. They thought that he was a Spirit since they sensed Spirit energy inside of his house.

"No Spirits here. Again," one Storm Bringer said.

"No! There has to be one here. I can sense the energy!" the leader said.

"But we've searched this house multiple times and had found no Spirits," another Storm Bringer said.

"We should report back to the king. He might know what to do," another Storm Bringer said.

"Fine! But I will kill those Spirits!" the leader said. The group left and the storm had went away. Elena and her family got out of the basement and her mother started packing a bag.

"Mother, what are you doing?" Elena asked.

"It's not safe for us here! We need to find a place where we don't have to worry about this war!"

"But this is where we live! We can't just give that up!" Muki said.

"I know. But we have no choice. The Storm Bringers will keep coming here and kill us if we don't leave now." The two girls sighed and packed up their belongings. As they were packing, there was a knock on the door. Elena and Muki's mother stopped what she was doing and went to go answer the door. Standing outside was a man in a black cloak.

"Hello. Can I help you?" the girl's mother asked. The man said nothing but took a knife and stabbed their mother.

"MOTHER!" the girls screamed. The man pulled the knife out and looked at the girls.

"Better run if you want to survive, Spirits," he said. The girls quickly grabbed their belongings and ran out the back entrance of their house. They ran and ran till they could no longer see their house.

"What should we do?" Elena asked.

"We should summon a portal and get away from here," Muki said.

"But we're not allowed to use our magic yet!"

"Well, we have no other choice!" Elena sighed and looked at Muki.

"Alright. As long as we find each other again," she said. Muki smiled and gave Elena one last hug. They each opened a portal and went through it.

Elena watched as the storm approached and started heading to the basement of Ansem's mansion.

"Angel, where are you going?" Ansem asked.

"Huh? You don't hide in a basement during a storm?" Elena asked.

"No. Are you afraid of storms?"

"It's kind of a long story."

"I got time." Elena sighed and sat on the king bed of the master bedroom.

"Ever since I was a little girl, my family and I would hide away from these creatures called Storm Bringers. Them, Spirits, and other mythical creatures had been at war since the beginning of time. I never knew what they looked like but I knew how dangerous they were," she said.

"I see. Well, I can tell you that there's no Storm Bringers here so you're safe here with me," Ansem said. He placed his hands on her belly, where baby Rumi was growing. "And I know that our little bug will be safe."

Elena giggled at the little nickname Ansem had gave their baby.

"Thank you, Ansem," she smiled.

"Of course, Angel. Now, let's get you off those feet."

It was a calm night in the mansion, and not a single sound was heard. Well, except for the raging storm that was outside. A big roll of thunder sounded out through the mansion, causing Elena to wake up along with baby Rumi. She got out of bed and headed over to the nursery to see her daughter, freaked out from the storm.

"Shh, it's okay sweetie. Mommy's here," she whispered as she picked up her crying daughter. She held Rumi close and watched the storm.

"There's no Storm Bringers here," she whispered. She was mainly telling that to herself. She got an idea and used a bit of her wind magic to calm Rumi down. After putting Rumi to sleep, she saw a cloaked figure in the corner of the room. She gasped, knowing who he was.

"Why are you here?" she asked.

"Didn't I tell you to run if you wanted to survive?" the man asked.

"What?"

"There'll be a war and if you and your baby want to survive, then you should keep running." Elena saw the bloody knife from when he killed her mother and gasped.

Elena shot up in bed, breathing heavily. That was all a dream? No, not a dream. A memory. A warning.

"I need to warn Muki," she said to herself.
