You, Sora, Donald, and Goofy were walking down a dirt road surrounded by grass, and Sora saw Pluto up ahead, who was carrying a letter from King Mickey in his mouth. You, Sora, and the gang proceeded to chase Pluto down the road. Later on at night, you, Sora, Donald, and Goofy were asleep in the grass. You and Sora woke up and walked a short distance down the path. The two of you then came to a crossroads of four paths and stared into the sky. A man's voice was then heard.

"Along the road ahead lies something you need," he said. A figure wearing a black-hooded coat was seen behind you and Sora. The two of you turned around but the man disappeared. You and Sora looked around for him, and the man reappeared behind you two. You and Sora turned around and faced him.

"However—in order to claim it you must lose something that is dear to you," the man said. The man turned around and disappeared. You and Sora walked ahead towards him but he was gone. Meanwhile, a girl in a white room was drawing on her sketchbook. There was a doll of her inside a cage hanging in the corner. The girl's drawing was seen as a colorful castle as she put her sketchbook down.

Meanwhile, there was a similar-looking castle in the distance on a single path. You and Sora stood overlooking the castle. You, Sora, Donald, and Goofy then walked toward the castle. Donald and Goofy said something to each other that was not heard. You and Sora looked up at the castle and gasped slightly, wondering what's inside. The two of you continued toward it.

"Huh?" Donald asked. The four of you all continued into the castle. Sora opened the door and looked inside. The four of you then walked in.

"Hey, ya think it's OK to barge in?" Goofy asked.

"But we gotta do it, if we're gonna find the king..." Donald said.

"The king?!" Goofy was surprised and looked around the room.

"King Mickey's here?" he asked.

"Something just told me he'd be here, OK?" Donald said.

"Really? 'Cause now that ya mention it, I was kinda thinkin' the same thing."

"Seriously? Me too! One look at this castle, and I just knew: Our very best friends—they're here," Sora said.

"I had the same feeling too. Not only that but I feel like there's secrets about my family hidden here," you said.

"A-hyuck! Guess great minds think alike," Goofy said. Jiminy Cricket suddenly jumped out of Sora's shirt.

"Wait, hey, hold on! It can't be just a coincidence!" he said.

"Oh, no, Jiminy. Ya don't mean that—" Donald said.

"Yep, I had it too, mm-hmm! I had the exact same feeling."

"Gawrsh, maybe it's contagious," Goofy said.

"No, no. Something's screwy. We gotta go take a look," Donald said.

"All right," you said. You and Sora started to walk toward the door at the end of the hall. Donald jumped.

"Wak! Where are you two going?!" he asked.

"That way. To the door," Sora said.

"Are ya scared?" you snickered.

"Aw, don't be ridiculous! Come on, let's go, Goofy!" Donald said.

"Hey, fellahs, shouldn't we shut the door behind us before we go?" Goofy asked. Goofy then turned around.

"Sora! (Y/N)!" he said. The hooded man appeared in front of the entrance and the doors closed.

"That's it! Who are you?" Sora asked. Sora grunted and summoned his Keyblade while you grabbed your dagger. The others prepared for battle. The hooded man walked towards you four.

"Wak! Heartless! Oh yeah? I'll try some magic!" Donald said. Donald waved his wand and yelled.

"THUNDER!" he yelled but no magic came out.

"Come on. THUNDER! THUNDER!!" He said but nothing happened.

"Come on... Blizzard? FIRE!" he said but still, nothing happened.

"Grr. (Y/N), try yours," he said. You tried using your magic but like Donald, nothing happened. The hooded man soon reached you four.

"Why isn't our magic working?" Donald slumped.

"I should think it's obvious. The moment you set foot in this castle, you forgot every spell and every ability you ever knew. In this place, to find is to lose, and to lose is to find. That is the way in Castle Oblivion," the man said.

"Castle Oblivion?" you and Sora asked. The mysterious man disappeared in an aura of darkness and reappeared behind you and Sora.

"Here you will meet people that you have known in the past. And you will meet people you miss," he said.

"I miss? Riku! You mean Riku's here?!" you said.

"Is he?!" Sora asked.

"If what you want...is to find him..." the man said. The man held out his hand and gusts of wind and flower petals appeared and were blasted at you and Sora. Sora tried to block them with his Keyblade. The man then became transparent and flew through Sora. You then ran at the man, jumped, and slashed him, but the man disappeared, leaving flower petals behind.

"Huh?" you asked. The man reappeared at the doorway at the end of the hall. You and Sora's group ran towards him.

"What'd you do?!" Sora asked.

"I merely sampled your memories. And from them, I made this," the man said. He held out two cards in this hand and it depicted Traverse Town.

"To reunite with those you hold dear—" he said. He threw the cards to you and Sora.

"What's this, a card?" you asked.

"It is a promise for the reunion you seek. Hold the card to open the door. And beyond it, a new world. Proceed, Sora. To lose and claim anew, or to claim anew only to lose..." the man said. The man disappeared and you, Sora, Donald, and Goofy gasped. Donald, Goofy, and Jiminy watched you and Sora, who stared at the card.

"C'mon—let's go," Sora said. You nodded your head in agreement and the two of you walked up to the door and held up the cards to open it. You and Sora then walked through the door.
