You and Sora opened the door and entered Traverse town. The two of you looked around the town confused.

"This can't be right... We're in Traverse Town!" Sora said.

"This is so weird," you said. Suddenly, the hooded man appeared behind you and Sora.

"What you see isn't real," he said. You and Sora turned around but the man disappeared and reappeared behind you two.

"This town is an illusion created by your memories ingrained in those cards," the man said.

"Our memories?" you asked. Jiminy hopped down from Sora's shirt onto the ground.

"Forget about that, you two! We lost Donald and Goofy!" he said as he jumped up and down. You and Sora turned around and looked for your friends.

"Donald?" you asked.

"Goofy?" Sora asked.

"Guys, where are you?" Sora turned around and looked at the man.

"What did you do with them?!" he asked.

"They are at the mercy of the cards now. Master the cards, and their strength will be yours again," the man said.

~Le Time Skip~

After the card lesson, Donald and Goofy appeared and ran to you and Sora.

"Are you two all right?" Sora asked.

"Where have you been?" you asked.

"You tell us! When you opened the door, we saw a strange light— ...and the rest is just...blank," Donald said.

"Gee, that doesn't help. Try to remember what happened. I have to keep my journal up to date," Jiminy said as he jumped up and down.

"Hey, Donald, where'd I get the new clothes?" Goofy asked. He looked at his clothes and felt them.

"Wak?! Me too, Goofy! Somebody's been messing with our clothes!" Donald said.

"Could it be the cards again?" you asked the man.

"That is for you to ponder. Master the cards and make your way through the castle. But from here, you walk alone," the man said.

"Alone?! We can't let Sora and (Y/N) go alone!" Goofy said.

"Yeah! Sora and (Y/N) can't do anything without our help!" Donald said.

"Hey!" you said.

"Thanks a lot, Donald," Sora said.

"You sure you'll be okay?" Goofy asked.

"Of course!" you said.

"You want us to go alone? Fine. We can take care of ourselves," Sora said. 

"Hmph, the heroes speaks boldly. Go, then. The rest of Castle Oblivion awaits. Walk the avenues of latent memory, and you shall meet someone dear to you," the man said as he disappeared.

"I've got a bad feeling about this..." Jiminy said.

"Relax, Jiminy. I'm ready for any tricks he's got up his sleeve. How hard can it be to figure out these cards? All I have to do is use one in front of that door over there," you said.
