And so the reliable Ira, who wore the mask of the unicorn, was given his role to take over for the Master and to lead the others. Similarly, the virtuous Invi, who wore the mask of the snake, was given her role to watch over the others with a fair eye. The fearless Aced, who wore the mask of the bear, was given his role to support their brand-new leader, Ira. The prudent Ava, who wore the mask of the fox, was given her role to prepare exceptional Keyblade wielders for the world after. The coolheaded Gula, who wore the mask of the leopard, was given his role to uncover the mystery of the Book of Prophecies. Luxu, the first of the apprentices to be given their role, watched his companions from afar, as they learned what it was that they were meant to do, then, he disappeared. Not long after that, the Master vanished, dimmed, and faded without a trace. This is where your story began, the story of your very own adventure. Five of the Master's apprentices armed themselves with the Book of Prophecies. They each created a Union. This would fulfill his wishes. Then, they set out to rally Keyblade wielders just like you. By defeating Heartless, the monsters of darkness, they would gather light. But they were told lies about the Spirits. About Princess (Y/N). The last Time Spirit.

In the present day, the five foretellers were gathered in their conference room in the clock tower. Ira and Aced were standing, Ava and Invi were sitting in their chairs at the table, and Gula sat on the rim of the table.

"There's a traitor among us," Ira said. Silence filled the room, which Invi broke.

"Are you certain? What proof do you have?" she asked. Ira held out his hand and conjured a Chirithy out of light.

"I found this sniffing around," he said.

"Is that...a dark Chirithy?" Ava gasped. Everyone looked at Invi as she stood up.

"Is that...a Nightmare?" she asked. The others looked at Ira in shock. They each remembered when they first learned of the Chirithy from the Master of Masters in his room with your mother, pregnant with you. The Master carried a test tube holding a sleeping Chirithy and placed it on his desk. Ava approached the creature excitedly.

"Master, did you make this? It's so cute!" she said.

"Well, things are gonna get pretty hectic around here soon. But this Chirithy is gonna make your lives much easier! Hopefully," the Master said.

"Chirithy?" your mother asked.

"You could say they're like cats or dogs. And they'll be your loyal pets," the Master said as he grabbed the test tube. He tapped the glass, rousing the Chirithy from its sleep. It tried to grab the Master's hand but fell on its back.

"Every wielder will have one of these adorable little guys at their side. They're here to help, so play nice!"

"Okay!" Ava said.

"Oh, right, before I forget..." the Master said as he set down the test tube. The remaining foretellers directed their attention towards the Master. "If a wielder is overcome by malice–or rather, if their heart is tainted by darkness–their adorable little Chirithy will turn dark and become a Nightmare."

"So you're telling us that if we see a Nightmare..." Ira said.

"Someone has fallen into darkness," Invi finished.

"Exactly," the Master said. As he spoke, the Master tilted the test tube and peered inside it. "And if you don't stop this renegade Chirithy, it'll plant darkness in the hearts of others and you'll have an army of Nightmares on your hands. Beware. 'Cause if these do fall into darkness, they might bring a Spirit."

Your mother tensed at the harmful words he said. Spirits were not dangerous. Why is the Master planting lies into their heads?

"So, if we see one of these Nightmares anywhere, we have to get rid of it on the spot," Aced said.

"No! I won't let you do that!" Ava said.

"No wonder you ended up as the bear. You're scary," Gula said.

"Your point?" Aced asked.

"Maybe you can growl at them?" Ava asked.

"Hmm..." Invi and Ira stifled back laughter. Aced gasped in realization. "Don't insult me!"

"Come on, Aced. You won't know if it works unless you try," the Master said in a goofy voice. The Master and the other foretellers laughed, except your mother, leaving a stunned expression on Aced's face.

"Please tell me you're joking," he said. Ira noticed that your mother wasn't laughing and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Are you okay, dear?" he asked.

"I'm fine," she said, bitterly.

"Okay. Um, would you like to talk about it?"

"Follow me." She grabbed Ira's hand and took him to the garden, leaving everyone else confused.

"Alright, what's going on?" Ira asked.

"What the Master said, isn't true," your mother said.

"What isn't true?"

"About Spirits. Spirits don't come from the darkness. They're meant to protect the worlds from the darkness."

"Why are you telling me this?"

"Because I am one." Ira was shocked.

"What?" he asked.

"I'm a Spirit. And that means that our child will be one as well."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because the Master told me not to. He told me it was to protect you but I don't believe him." Ira walked closer and kissed her head.

"It's gonna be okay. I'll make sure of it," he said.

"I love you," she whispered.

"I love you too." She was about to kiss her lips but hunched over in pain.

"Dear, what's wrong?" he asked.

"It's the baby. She's coming," she groaned. Ira quickly walked her back into the tower and went to their room.

"I'm gonna go find the midwife. Just don't go anywhere," he said.

"Wasn't planning on it! Gah! Please hurry!" she yelled. Ira ran out to go find the midwife.

"Hey, what's going on?" Gula asked.

"(M/N)'s having the baby," Ira said.

"What?! But she's not supposed to have it for another two weeks!" Ava said.

"Well, she's having it now! Where the hell is that midwife?" A scream could be heard from Ira's room and he knew that he was running out of time.

"Okay, you go find the midwife, while we go take care of (M/N)," Invi said. Ira nodded and ran off to find the midwife.

~Le Time Skip~

Your mother was at 10 centimeters and was losing blood fast. Ira was unable to find the midwife and had to watch his wife die slowly.

"Just get this out of me!" she wailed.

"Almost there!" Invi said. After one giant push, you were finally born. But it came at a price. After cleaning you and all that jazz, your mother was lying dead in her own blood.

"I'm sorry I couldn't save her. She was losing a lot of blood," Invi said.

"I forgive you. At least, this little one is here," Ira said.

"We'll give you two a moment."

"Thanks."  The other foretellers left the room, leaving Ira to admire baby you.

"Hi, little one. I'm your father. God, you look so much like your mother. If only she was here to see you. But I know that she would want you to have the best life. Welcome to the world...my little Spirit."
