you sat at home giving kids candy, it was Halloween. you were planning on going out to get candy yourself, though jeff decided agents it and go for you instead. so you stayed home and waited for him to come back. a knock came from the front door, you smiled and grabbed the candy bowl. you opened the door and saw a small child wearing a pink dress, her brown hair was knotted up, and what seemed to be blood in her hair. dry blood laid on her face and on her dress. her eyes a piercing lime green, that seemed to brighten up her face.

" what are you sweetie," you said with a smile

" I'm not dressed up, I'm just looking for someone," she said

" oh and who's that," you said as you bent down to her height

" Jeff, he's been gone for a week and hasn't returned," she said

you nodded and smiled

" oh he's out right now, he's trick or treating," you said with a smile

she nodded and turned around

" don't forget your candy," you said as you pulled out a handful of candy

she turned back around and took the candy before leaving.

you walked down the street with ben next to you, you walked to the next house as ben pulled the wagon. you were almost done for tonight, as you started early and now it was near twelve o'clock.

" We do have to look through the candy to see if any were tampered with," ben said with a smile

you nodded and walked up the stairs, you stopped at the door and nocked. the door opened to reveal an old woman, a smile on her face.

" what are you two," she asked

"I'm a spooky link," ben said with a smile as he held his bag out

" I can't dress up this year, I don't want to hurt the baby," you said as you placed a hand on your stomach

she smiled and grabbed a hand full of candy putting it in your bag, she did the same to ben

" congratulation," she said with a smile

you nodded before walking away

you sat at home with silver, the porch light off while you ate boxes of candy. today you were doing nothing, though your original plan was to go out you started to cramp up.

" so how is the baby doing," he said

" good, the baby is kicking though; kind of hurts," you said with a smile

he nodded and looked at you with a small smile, a knock came from the door. you walked to the door and opened it to see three kids, they held open their bags and smiled. you smiled and walked to the living room and gave them a handful of candy, and smiled they walked away as you closed the door.

" Kids are so sweet," you said with a chuckle

he nodded as he looked at you
