Shadow Stalk or simply Shadow was an elderly black Amur leopard and Nite, Click, and Whistle's mother. She had black fur and spots and red eyes.
Shadow Stalk is first seen welcoming the Skyhawks into her home and terra, Terra Hallows. She was accepting of the newcomers even if her son, Nite was not. She was very friendly and gentle. However, she hated nightcrawlers, Kain most of all. The reason for her hatred is because the nightcrawlers led by Kain and his step mother Levia, had destroyed her squadron The Stalk Sisters. At the end of the series, Shadow dies of old age. Everyone grieves for her and has an emotional funeral.
Shadow had a close relationship with her children and loved telling them stories of legends of the Atmos.
She was close to the three squadrons. Aasira expresses her condolences for the tragedy, seeing how Kain followed them to Terra Hallows but Nite dismisses her and states he will destroy Levia and Kain in memory of his mother.
Trivia:
Shadow was named for her camouflage abilities.
She was the Sky Knight of her squadron The Stalk Sisters. Whether her squad mates were her actual sisters or not is a mystery. Their destruction is the main motive for Shadow's hatred towards Kain.
Despite hating nightcrawlers, Shadow showed respect to Achlys.
It's assumed the Stalk Sisters were the only true animal squadron in Atmos.
She never mentions Nite, Click, and Whistle's father. He was possibly murdered by Kain as well.
Shadow's name was going to be Nightstrike but I saved that for a different character.
