Firebolt was Kain, Asteria, Kai, Ace, and Apello's late father and Levia's late husband. He was a tall handsome man with black hair like Ace and dark blue eyes like Kaida. He had a strikingly similar resemblance to Ace except his eye color and hair style (it was shorter and spiked back). He was also more muscular.
Regardless of his position as Talon Commander, Firebolt was secretly friendly. He knew Shadow Stalk who described him as being a "charming young lad". He also knew the oracle who reveals to Ace that he is his father. Firebolt is killed by an unnamed Sky Knight. He was struck from his skimmer and fell into the wastelands with his own sky ride falling directly towards him.
Firebolt loved his family and would do anything to protect them.
He never met his grandchildren before but appears as a cameo in a dream of Kaida's where she is running through a valley and stops short of a black wolf with dark blue eyes staring at her with concern.

Firebolt is named after the Firebolt crystal.
Firebolt only appears in minor flashbacks.
Kaida dreams of meeting a black wolf. This wolf is revealed to be Firebolt by the oracle.
Firebolt shares a striking resemblance to his sons Ace and Kai.
It's stated by Apello that Firebolt was the original "Dark Ace", claiming to be his call sign.
He is thought to be the first "friendly" cyclonian.
