Ida

Ida is Ace, Kai, and Lightning Strike's late mother. She had dark brown hair and mahogany eyes. She is shown to have several years prior to the show.

Ida was born to an unnamed mother and father on Atmosia. She was born and raised in a poor family but had I hopes for the future. Eventually, Ida became a nurse where she met Firebolt, the prince of Cyclonia (she didn't know this). The two had a son named Kai, who eventually grew to be the leader of the famed squadron Ultra Skuas. After Firebolt left, Ida married and had a second son, Lightning Strike, who would grow to be the Sky Knight of The Storm Hawks. After 5 years of an unhappy marriages, Ida and Firebolt find each other again and have another son, Ace, who would grow to become the notorious Dark Ace. When Ace was 7 or 8 years old, Ida caught an unknown disease, which was killing her. In her final moments, Ida offers her son words of comfort before passing away in front of him.

Ida loved her sons dearly, who were all devastated at her death.

She seemed to love and care for Firebolt.

She didn't seem to love her husband a lot.

Trivia:

Ida's name means hard working.

She is the first character to die on the show. 

It's not known what disease Ida died from.

Ida seems to know somewhat of Firebolt's past, naming their son after his call sign Ace.

Ida dies in front of a young Ace, emotionally scarring him for life.
