Oz is a xiao or winged monkey and Kea's pet. He takes the form of a black and white capuchin monkey with small brown wings, sharp canine teeth, and beady brown eyes.
Oz and his master are very in sync when it comes to personality. Both have shown to be proud, reckless, slightly selfish, incredibly stubborn, don't respect authority (other than the Storm Hawks and Talon Resistance), and pick fights for the heck of it. Much like Kea always teases some of the other teens, Oz will tease his fellow beasts with Toga being able to understand him. Regardless, Oz is always there for his friends when they need him. He is also highly intelligent and clever.
Oz first meets Kea when he's trapped in a small bird cage, aggressively trying to get out. After being freed, Oz nods at Kea in thanks before flying off. However, he sticks around with Kea and helps him learn how to survive on the Terra.
Trivia:
Oz's name means strength and courage.
He is shown to love dancing.
As shown in his first scene, Oz hates being locked up and shows signs of claustrophobia.
