Drake is a monitor lizard and a close friend of Rattle's. He is a long lizard with dark green scales, light gray underbelly, and brown eyes. He has massive black claws and tiny white serrated teeth.
Drake is a proud lizard who enjoys dealing with the elements. He can also be serious and nasty when his friends are in danger. When he's first mentioned, Rattle tells (or rather sings) to everyone that Drake is a "Big Bad Lizard", making the young heroes a bit fearful. Thea explains monitor lizards like Drake are venomous and are known to have bad attitudes. However, the Skyhawks see him as generous and polite despite his frightening appearance.
Drake will defend his teammates even at the risk of his own life as seen when he's nearly crushed to death by Carver in his manticore form.
