Y/N stood in the hall of prophecy alone, shouting for her 'friends'. Feeling alone as per usual, she felt a hand on her shoulder. Turning around, she saw Lucius and some other death eaters behind her, including Lestrange. "Sir..."
Lucius Malfoy, the father of her soulmate. He was in denial that his son could be the soulmate of a half-blood (Y/H/H). He always said if it came to it, he would not hesitate to kill Y/N on the spot if she did anything wrong. "Y/N... who will save you now."
"Nobody..."
"Nobody?" He furrowed his brows in question.
"Nobody?" Bellatrix asked, walking towards Y/N.
"Nobody." Y/N admitted. Then she heard footsteps behind her, seeing Harry and the others standing there. When she turned around, Voldemort was now stood at the front of the death eaters.
"Harry Potter. Who will you choose? Y/N or Sirius?"
"Sirius of course..."
"What?" Voldemort looked up and Bellatrix went wide-eyed.
"Nobody..." Y/N whispered. "Nobody!" She screamed breaking the prophecies beside her.
"Y/N lives... Sirius dies. Bellatrix, do the honours." Voldemort ordered and Bellatrix whipped her wand out, running past Harry and towards Sirius.
Everyone watched Bellatrix strike Sirius with the most unforgivable curses, and Sirius fell backwards into The Veil. Y/N stood still in her tracks not knowing what to do. Lucius ran towards her and pulled her into a hug. "Come on dear, Draco is waiting for you at home." He whispered and followed Bellatrix, apperating back to the Malfoy manor. The two of them landed in the living room where Narcissa was talking to Draco trying to calm him down but when he heard the thud on the floor, he stood up and ran straight towards Y/N taking her into his arms.
Narcissa and Lucius had shared an embrace and a hug, but Draco refused to let go of Y/N as if she would leave again if he let go. "Draco... let go. We don't want to overwhelm her." Narcissa stated and Draco hesitantly let go, looking into Y/N's broken eyes.
"What did they do to her? Father what did they do?!"
"Harry betrayed her... he chose Sirius over her and when the boy said so, the Dark Lord sacrificed Sirius to keep her alive... for you. She watched Sirius get stricken and fall back into the veil."
"Oh my god..." Draco whispered, scanning Y/N's beaten body.
"Draco run her a bath. I'll go make some tea, get her something to eat." Narcissa said and Draco nodded and quickly ran upstairs to start the bath. As Narcissa walked into the kitchen, Lucius followed closely behind. "That poor, poor girl. She's seen too much... she's just a girl..."
"Shes a half blood, and befriending those delinquent pests. It was bound to happen, I'm surprised the Dark Lord kept the half-blood alive."
"Lucius can you think of anything that isn't completely totalitaristic?"
"I don't even know what that means."
"You wouldn't." Narcissa mumbled.
Later that night, Draco laid in bed on his back and Y/N cuddled into his chest. "Are you hungry yet?" Draco asked and Y/N just shook her head.
"I don't think I will be hungry. I feel physically sick from having to remember it all over again just to pick it out and understand it."
"My love, there's no use in thinking on it. I know it's much easier said than done, I know, I've been through it. But hey, look here." He said kissing Y/N on the head causing her to look up.
Draco had waved his wand to create a movie of dogs above their heads and Y/N smiled, but then it quickly dropped again. "Wheres Zeus?" Y/N asked and Draco looked at her.
"He should be downstairs, do you want me to go get him?"
"If you will?" She smiled thankfully and kissed him before he got up and went downstairs. She heard him call Zeus' name and then doggy footsteps running up the stairs, human footsteps trailing behind. Y/N held her hands out as the black, shiny-coated Great Dane ran into her arms and snuggled up sat next to her allowing her to give all the cuddles she wanted.
"I love you." Y/N mumbled and Draco raised an eyebrow.
"Which one of us was that to?" He let out a laugh and Y/N smiled still stroking Zeus.
"It depends on the day..." she rested her head on Zeus' back and Draco sat on the other side of her, kissing her cheek and stroking her hair.
He just didn't want to leave her side. Not again. At least not for a while.
