"Y/N wait up!" Draco called out and Y/N carried on walking.
"What do you want Draco?"
"Let me just explain myself. Please."
"What's there to explain Draco? Why you kissed Pansy in front of me? Why you didn't come after me? What?"
"Forgive me please. Please I love you."
"It will take more than that."
"Go to Hogsmeade with me?"
"You already asked Pansy, it's a bit late for that isn't it?"
"No. No I haven't asked her. She's saying that to make you jealous and she knew that would work. Meet me at the quidditch pitch tomorrow at 6."

In class the following Monday, Draco and Blaise had swapped places so Blaise was sat next to Y/N instead. They got on really well anyways, so it would only make sense for him to sit there not some random student in the class. Draco folded a paper bird and blew it to Y/N that read:
Dear Y/N,
Meet me at the main corridor at 5pm.
Draco xo
Y/N read it and looked at him before placing it in her pocket. She did meet him and as she saw him stood there, she felt as though she had another chance.

"Please, I beg of you love. Come to Hogsmeade with me at the weekend? I'll make everything up to you I promise." Draco begged and Y/N sighed and was about to speak when Harry called out from behind.
"I already asked her while you was with Pansy, Malfoy. You're too late!" Harry said and Draco turned on his heel and walked towards Harry.
"Did you now? What do you say Y/N? Yes or no?" Draco asked and Harry knew he had lost, so he just walked away without a word as Y/N nodded nervously.

"I'll see you around beautiful." Draco said as he began to walk off and Cedric came up behind Y/N, placing a hand on her shoulder causing her to jump around in shock.
"Listen Y/N. How about you give me a chance? We both know what Draco did. He's just going to do it again."
"Is there a problem Diggory?" Malfoy asked turning back towards him as he heard him say Y/N's name.
"Shut up, Malfoy. It's a conversation between us."
"Well I'm mentioned therefore it's my conversation too. She'll see you around." Draco said and lead Y/N to his dorm.
"Thanks for today."
"Don't mention it." Draco said locking the door and kissing Y/N as she fell onto his bed.

At lunch the next day, Y/N saw Draco zoned out with a worried look on his face. As Y/N stood up to walk over to him, he ran out in tears. Y/N chased after him and looked everywhere for him and the last resort was the boys bathroom where she didn't want to go. After checking around to see if anyone would see, she opened the door and looked inside. "Draco, are you in here love?" She asked and heard sobbing so she quickly walked inside and saw Draco laid on the floor, covered in blood.

"Draco? Draco!" She panicked and the door opened, revealing Snape walking inside.
"What's happened?" Snape asked and Y/N lifted her hands up as if to show she doesn't know, and to show that she has blood all over her hands from Draco. Y/N felt a sudden wave of guilt, like she didn't... find him quick enough. "Step back." Snape said and Y/N stood up sobbing, covering her mouth causing blood to be spread on her face, but she didn't care one bit.

Snape began a spell on Draco and Y/N just ran to the common room, breaking down on her bed and Hermione knocked and entered. "Oh my gosh, Y/N what happened?" She said panicked, seeing the blood on Y/N's sheets.
"He's gone Hermione. I can't fucking do this anymore!" Y/N cried and Hermione pulled her into a tight hug with Y/Ns head against her chest, ignoring the blood stains on her hand and on Y/N's bed sheets. She decided she would ask her what actually happened later when she had calmed down a bit.

Draco didn't survive the spell that was cast against him, and no one knew what spell it was. Y/N sat on a some stone ruins nearby the school in her robe staring into space, just letting tears run down her face. She never thought loving and losing someone could hurt so much, but here she was. She had missed weeks worth of lessons, and today was the only day she'd been caught. And it was while Hagrid was on his way to the woods and was passing the ruins.

"Are you alright Y/N? You don't look all that well!" He asked, stopping in front of her and she shook her head.
"You know I keep saying I'm fine but- I'm not, I'm not fine at all." Y/N sobbed and Hagrid looked at her sympathetically
"I know how much you liked each other. It's too much stress for a young girl like you to be having. And it's not fair. How about you come with me for a walk and we will have a chat about anything you like? And then we'll go back and have a nice cup of tea how about it?" He asked and Y/N laughed weakly and nodded, standing up.

Although no matter what she did, her mind couldn't get away from Draco and what happened to him that day when she walked in on him lying in a pool of water, dyed with his red blood. The after he died, she managed to get up and go to class. She thought at the time, maybe it was just the shock she was in which is why she wasn't too emotional. If anything, she'd say she was emotionless. No matter where she went or what she saw it reminded her of him.

Notes, where he would send them to her as birds asking to meet places. Corridors where they enjoyed each others company in the day and night. Classrooms where they would run away from detention.

But for the first time in a while, months later and during the final week she laughed a genuine laugh. She enjoyed being in other people's company. The random conversations about the most random things you can think of. She would still remember Draco being there, and she knew nothing would bring him back.

But what she did know was that she was laughing like she used to with Draco. She began to feel happy again.
