CHAPTER
TWENTY-EIGHTBooks
Veronica didn't know what to feel when she saw how excited her son was. He was not even smiling but his eyes could tell.
Rosalinda said while they were watching Simon played with Ysabella.
"Asang-asa na siya," she clarified. "How can I dare to break his heart?"
"Actually .
She was aware.
All this time, she was aware how eager Simon was to meet his father. Ngunit paulit-ulit na lang niyang sinasabi sa sarili na he was a wise kid. He would understand. Pero siguro ganoon talaga. To understand things didn't mean not feel hurt too.
She didn't want to break his heart more and decided to bring him to Sinco. It wasn't the best idea for sure, lalo na ngayong gustong kunin ng lalaki ang anak niya.
Well, that would be useless since she could find her blood wherever it went, so her son.
She drove her with her son to the cafe near the hospital. People knew Sinco and Tamara and adored them like they were some kind of love team. Napangiwi siya. She really hated other people's opinion.
It was toxic and very frustrating.
"You wait here.." she told her son placing a slice of cake on table and her credi card. "When you want something, just go to the counter and use this."
"Okay.." he nodded and took the credit card.
"I'll bring your father here.."
She kissed his forehead lightly before finally walking towards the hospital.
This was the right thing to do.
Convincing herself over and over again, she finally reached the hospital. She didn't bother to looked back where her son was, who was surely watching her.
Pumasok siya sa loob ng ospital. Everyone was busy with their own errands. Everyone had their own world to live in, so did she. She just need to face it. Simon was her son, yes. Pero anak din ito ni Sinco. She couldn't be more selfish.
So she walked towards the elevator and pushed the third floor button. Nervously, she kept on fidgeting her fingers. Bakit ba siya kinakabahan? It was as if Sinco would not like Simon, or the other way around.
