It was like a striking arrow to his inflated balloon of self assurance that till the time there was life in him there would be no harm to the Royals in Busan.

It was what he had been trained for since his birth and it was what he had pledged as the defence of the Korean Regality. But now that he stood there to a side in the shadows that he knew of so vividly, he couldn't believe what Advisor Min had said that day to him.

You need her more than you know.

"No, I don't." He gritted out in extreme disbelief of the fact that a woman like Rosaliá was of any assistance to him to something formidable happening to his people of which he had no fucking idea.

"Pardon, my lord?"

The voice of his assistant making way into his mind, he couldn't help but flick his finger at him to dismiss him. He wanted peace.

And probably, a large pint of cold whiskey.

"Hyung." The Korean advisor approaching him this time, he watched as the young man who had grown up alongside him smiled at the fellow royals before standing in front of him with his picturesque smile.

"Come on. Dinner has been served." He said making Jung smile at him slightly as he nodded and asked him to proceed through a simple gesture although he had no plans of moving from his position.

He watched like a hawk as the advisor tasted the food before it being served to the royals, him giving an approving nod at every step of the way.

He also observed how giddy and gullible the Korean Princess looked in the company of the woman that he found utterly suspicious. Then, his eyes met with hers and he found that aura of power and domination that he rarely found in the soft eyes of women, he had encountered.

Rosaliá was far from a soft lady, she was a raging rebel. He could see that. He could feel the same flames of a livid rebel in her just like he was ; the way she held that stoic motion to her face while staring at him without a speck of fear. Her head bowing curtly in his direction, he reciprocated quickly to his dismay.

That moment in the gliding time when him, Lord Jung Hoseok, the black ace of his legion, felt like he was being over powered by a pair of green eyes.

"I hope you would approve today's dining decor, Princess." Advisor Park smiled at the young monarch who just chuckled at him before gasping at the array of roses decorated around. Hoseok couldn't help but smile at the young girl.

"Well, like Rosaliá says...," she said smiling back at the said woman, "Roses are the way to go."

The statement making his smile diminish Hoseok couldn't help but stare back at Rosaliá who was too engrossed in looking at Insu talking to the advisor and Vante, who had joined the group early on while the maids and servants passed through with the dine preparation.
