As if the fact that she had made sure that she had ample raspberry tonic to keep herself occupied, Insu couldn't help but resort to the chocolate cassadias that the servants were on their way to present them.
She was nervous. Very nervous, actually, at how she was going to act in front of them all provided the fact that she was younger to everyone. The youngest of them all in the room, with no one her age group to keep her company, she felt lonely.
"Hey." The sweet whisper of someone as a hand clad in a minimalist gold bracelet that shone on the pale skin of the one who had appeared, Insu looked beside her to see Rosaliá smiling at her as she prodded at her to take the mocktail.
"Thanks." She sighed, smiling gratefully at her as they stood to a corner away from the buzzing crowd.
"Why are you so silent today?" She asked making the young Princess chuckle a bit as she sipped on her drink.
"I thought you were excited for this dinner." Rosaliá added, a bit confused at her silence.
"Trust me, I am very excited but I am scared at the same time." She said making the older woman nod at her.
"Why?"
"Do you see all of them?" She asked pointing at the people who were engaged in chats all around the place, some laughing aloud, men and women separate as they talked briefly before taking their own corners even if not designated.
"They are all so...mighty and...they feel...Umm—"
"Weird. You feel weird about how they talk of clothes and jewellery. Making sure the other person listening to them knows just how well off they are?" Rosaliá asked.
"Exactly." Insu sighed, nodding at her.
"I feel so small in front of them. You know how I am." She said making her grin.
"I don't find luxury in jewels and long, pompous gowns. I would rather just chill with jeans on." She said making Rosaliá laugh softly.
"You are adorable." She said making Insu hold her skirt as she bowed to her in a mock-up leaving them both to giggle.
"Insu!"
A delighted call to her made the two women stand upright as they looked at the young woman who sauntered over to them. Her hands raised midway she waved at her, before her eyes caught Rosaliá making her eyes widen.
"Princess." Rosaliá bowed making the said monarch who approached them to bow as well before she held her hand in her silk-clad ones.
"Rosaliá! It's so nice to see you."
"It's my pleasure to meet you again, as well, Princess Agathka." Rosaliá smiled at her making the French Princess chuckle as she held Insu's hand as well.
