"What did you say?"
Min Yoongi had never imagined this was the way the truth would come out to life. He had thought of a lot of pandemonium when they would know that Jaehwa, their Jaehwa was alive.
His tear striken eyes paused on the footage of the empty space where she had been standing a moment before.
"Yoongi."
The firm voice of the German Prince made his body tremble as he turned to look at the pale faces of the men who were questioning their entire existence it seemed.
"Jaehwa...." He said, slowly letting out the truth.
"We saw that." Namjoon lowly whispered as his eyes glanced back at the cameras where he tried to see if he could get a hold of her but there was no progress.
"Why were we never informed of this?" Seokjin asked, brows knitted crossly and Yoongi could swear he had never felt scared of someone as he was of the German Prince right then.
"It had to be kept a secret till we had caught the culprits behind the Danish assassination." Taehyung's voice spoke with the little courage that he had.
"Culprits? We thought it was an—" Jimin spoke up but Taehyung just scoffed while wiping his betraying tears.
"Accident? Car being thrown off the road into the river? Only one room in the palace caught fire where the queen was? The eldest son disappeared without a trace?" He asked and Yoongi could at last see how everyone looked like they were finally making sense of it.
"Everything was planned. And it has been planned the same way to eliminate you too." He said looking straight into the wide eyes of the Hanguk Prince who was shedding tears of confusion striken fear.
"That was Rosaliá...but—" Jungkook blinked away in daze as he stumbled back to the wall that had been behind him to lean on.
"We have been trying to solve the mystery of the royal assassination since we rescued her from the river...almost drowned and on the brink of death." Yoongi said as he kept his head down, exhausted from the stress.
"You couldn't have seen her condition. Her small body in tattered clothes, swollen from being in water for too long. We were lucky we got to her before she could pass away. It took a lot of time for her to heal...so the best thing that we could think of was to—"
"Keep her out of sight." Seokjin completed before sighing out aloud and running a hand in his hair in wild rage.
"All these years! Nine years of it! And I had no knowledge of Jaehwa's well being. You had us all confirmed that she was dead! And even when she came here, I never even fathomed she would be...she would be our Jae... my little Jae who used to fight with this punk here," he said pointing at Jungkook, "to spend time with me."
He sniffled sitting down on the divan to the side completely shook by this revelation.
"All these years...she was right there—even now..." Seokjin sighed as he closed his eyes, his hands going up to grab at his hair in distress.
