The winter castle wasn't always used as per its name. It was actually a plethora of his childhood memories folded and carefully sealed in the numerous walls that ran in the hallways of the humongous palace.

The recollections of him running around the same palace with his brothers who were now all so grown up and no more the cutesy little tyrants that he loved to bicker with. He was so proud of them and what they had all grown up to become. Men of value and virtue who chose righteousness as their sole path of commute. Just like he had always wished them all to be.

Not hungry for power more than they needed and happy with what they had, which was so much more than what ordinary civilians had. They were blessed to be born into royalty and for them it was a greater responsibility to uphold what the previous generation had helped grow into something so regal and powerful.

It scared him sometimes just how the power that came with his title was something as small as a namesake but had the ability of destruction unbelievable. He could only hope that nothing could raid them off their sanity and that this peace would live long just like they prayed everyday.

The corridors now seeming to look a bit more familiar, the German Prince started smiling even more brightly as he passed by, slowly, along the multiple paintings that he could build his vision upon, thinking back to the time when he had actually seen them being made firsthand.

His hands crossing over his chest, he stared at one of them as the sting of tears shook his being from within, as his eyes fell upon the artist who had given life to oil paint and dead fabric canvas. His fingers a bit shaky, he reached forward to brush them delicately against the squeaky clean glass frame that protected the art.

"Quite magnificent, isn't it?" Flinching at the unfamiliar voice that spoke out of nowhere, Prince Seokjin jerked his hand back whipping around to see who it was only to be met by an enticing pair of eyes that were a good two feet away.

"Good evening, Your Highness." She bowed to him.

"I apologise for startling you." She smiled at him sheepishly as she held her hands back in a cordial gesture but Seokjin waved her off with an awkward laugh.

"No no. No worries. I thought I was alone here. No one really visits this part of the castle since..." he stopped, finding himself in the verge of expressing matters that weren't supposed to see light in front of non family. Luckily, the one in his company pushed him neither.

"You seemed to be quite dazed by the painting." She spoke, firm tone but still feminine enough for him as the softness reflected off her.

"It's one of my favourites. I had watched while it was being made." He grinned at her making her smile.

"Who are the two kids in it?" She asked, genuinely curious about the fascinating art that had caught the German Prince's eye.

"That's six year old Jungkook." He chuckled as he pointed at a small boy in the picture who seemed to be helping out his playmate to put on a wreath of red pink roses as his hands held it to her head.
