When he opens his eyes again, he still sees bright, white light surrounding him and can feel that he's lying down on his back.

Where am I? He wonders. Did the world end? Am I dead? Is this Heaven? Hell?

His vision then clears up and he sees lines above him, which he realizes are ceiling tiles.

"Jongin? Hey, Jongin?"

He turns his head slightly to where the voice is coming from and that's when he becomes aware of the throbbing, aching pain in his head. Once his hearing fully adjusts he hears the faint beeping of machinery and puts the pieces together to conclude that he's in a hospital.

I survived a black hole??

"Hey, can you hear me?" the voice speaks again. With his vision fully recovered, Jongin fearfully realizes that the person speaking to him is none other than Luhan, donning a nurse's uniform.

"Y...ye...ah," is all he can manage to croak out, his mouth and throat dry and overall just feeling too dizzy and exhausted to even speak.

"Great," Luhan responds, a smile on his face. "How do you feel?"

"My head... hurtsss," he tries his best to express himself through his drowsy, slurred speech.

"Excellent!" Luhan exclaims happily, but then realizes how his reaction could be seen as odd. "Oh, ah, sorry. Hehe, what I mean is that we're happy that you're so responsive and aware. You're recovering from the accident quite well!"

'Accident'?

"Whaaa... are you talking about?" Jongin asks.

"Ah, you don't remember, that's to be expected. You sustained a terrible concussion while playing in your school's annual football game last night."

"What?" Jongin is fully alert now, and can barely believe what he's hearing.

"Yes, Exodus High's annual football game, 'The War'. You remember right? You were tackled and—"

"No! Nonono that didn't happen, there was a huge fight remember?!" He springs upright and tugs at Luhan's sleeves. "You and your brothers, you all fought against us and Sehun broke the Black Pearl and..." he was then overcome with an overwhelming feeling of nausea and dizziness, as a result of the great amount of physical exertion— well, at least for the current state he was in. "I'm gonna be sick..."

"Dear goodness my boy! Please, relax. You've already gotten hurt enough, you shouldn't be be getting riled up," Luhan advises, tenderly laying Jongin back down on the bed.

"Ten," he begins, turning to look at the other male nurse in the room whom Jongin has just now noticed. "Get him a bed pan and be prepared to clean up, just in case a mess is made."

Ten grimaces and rolls his feline-like eyes. He then trudges out of the room, muttering, "gross... I need to find a new job."

"I'm not crazy, I know what happened! Please stop playing with me!" Jongin pleads.

"But I'm not 'playing with you', I'm telling you the truth! Just try your best to remember what happened at the game, okay?"

"There was no ga...!" But then the events from said game start bubbling up in his memory.
